Colt .45 - The Complete Series - Coming to Blu-Ray on March 12th '24 (Warner Archive)

I give this an exception. The fact it's never been re-broadcast or shown is a strong reason, when you couple it with the fact it was part of a series of westerns that all have been released. Many lorimar/WB shows have atleast been shown in syndication.

Colt .45 - The Complete Series - Coming to Blu-Ray on March 12th '24 (Warner Archive)

Personally the dvds for most of those shows suffice in my personal view. As to new blu rays I hope new releases are more so shows that haven't been seen. Temple Houston would be welcomed since its never even been re broadcast. But out of the WB westerns Cheyenne or maverick are the only ones I...

Colt .45 - The Complete Series - Coming to Blu-Ray on March 12th '24 (Warner Archive)

I do hope that colt has some of the promos available like the first season of bronco did. Now in broncos case it was will Hutchins introducing the next week's episode of sugarfoot.

Colt .45 - The Complete Series - Coming to Blu-Ray on March 12th '24 (Warner Archive)

The reason season 2 had only 13 episodes is because behind the scenes wayde preston was in constant fights with Jack Warner over salary and accommodations. When warner didn't adjust things on set he just didn't go in to work. This put them behind in production and ABC had to show re runs because...

Colt .45 - The Complete Series - Coming to Blu-Ray on March 12th '24 (Warner Archive)

I still hope a deal is struck so colt can actually air on television or even streaming. This show hasn't been seen in over 60 years practically. Nobody born post 1955 probably have much of a memory of it and nobody today 50 or younger knows of it. To get a audience it has to be seen and then...

Colt .45 - The Complete Series - Coming to Blu-Ray on March 12th '24 (Warner Archive)

I have a few colt 45s which are in terrible quality, but the show is the red headed child of the William T Orr westerns. Colt has little personality compared to some of the other warner brothers leads but there was plenty of action and good guest. Had wayde preston not been blacklisted for...

Colt .45 - The Complete Series - Coming to Blu-Ray on March 12th '24 (Warner Archive)

If you want to get familiar with the lead (Wayde Preston), check out Maverick S02 episode entitled " The Saga of Waco Williams". That episode is one of the best of the whole run and Preston is the inspiration for Tom Selleck's charcter on Rockford files Lance White.

I do wonder will the show end up on streaming or on Starz western Channel. Now that the show has been remastered surely warner will make it available outside of a physical release. More people may buy, especially considering it's never been rebroadcast.
