My critique (in specifically mentioning/comparing Downey Jr's Tony Stark) wasn't about that, but about how they actually used Strange... in a way that makes the character very similar to the MCU rendition of Tony Stark, especially in relation to this Peter Parker...
I was fine w/ what they did...
Honestly, as I said before, the whole premise/setup (and then the solution) was pretty lame and essentially made Strange seem very amateurish and out-of-character, but oh well, I guess they felt they needed him to basically/sorta replace Downey Jr's Tony Stark or something...
Makes me a bit...
Well, most of those others never tried nor held any pretense of trying though... But even w/ Bond, that's been no longer the case w/ the Daniel Craig iteration... and that has led to some criticism along that line...

@JoeStemme, probably not worth arguing on it. I agree w/ you for the most part about this flick (and far prefer Into the Spider-Verse). It's simply overhyped/lauded probably largely because of circumstance (and fan service), not true quality of the film.
I found it probably trying to do a bit...
IMO, the fix was bad and doesn't make sense w/out explanation... NVM whether the original spell should/could/would work or make sense.
Also, Strange should never have allowed Peter to interrupt him like that (and should've done whatever needed to prevent/preempt something like that, especially...
Ok... finally saw this yesterday early afternoon at a nearly empty Regal RPX screening that was supposed to have buttkickers -- my first -- but did not seem to activate (or at least noticeable to me anyway), so I ended up complaining to the manager and got a free readmission ticket -- might've...
Unfortunately, this was very likely bound to be some kinda "Wild West", particularly since it's 'Murica to varying degrees even here in NYC...
Still, I've actually (largely) enjoyed returning to the movie theater during this time to go more in these last 6 months to end 2021 than any other...
Interesting... I just checked Regal's own site instead (of Fandango) for that IMAX screen in Sheepshead Bay and see that they do have (only) 2 seats "unavailable" like that, but they both look like they're normally "accessible" seating spots (not the "companion" seating next to them) in a fairly...
Hmmm... I just doublechecked for the NYC IMAX locations, and none of them (3 AMCs in Manhattan, including the only big true IMAX in the metro area, plus 1 Regal in Sheepshead Bay not far from Coney Island) seems to have something like that -- I also checked those (AMC) locations' Dolby Cinema...
That plus strangers don't hover as closely together nor converse (closely) at length nor make much, if any, physical contact, especially of the more intimate variety...

Sorry if this was discussed already, but do we know if this will actually be presented in the 1.43:1 IMAX ratio or just 1.9:1?
IF just 1.9:1, I probably won't bother trying to go to the big, true IMAX theater in Manhattan for this...
