I just received my Japanese box set of SOUND OF MUSIC and it was very small. I was expecting something on the level of the Warner Bros. box sets, but it was very small and disappointing. And the content was no different from the American set.

I agree with Robert Siegel. This is my favorite movie and I remember hearing so many musical instruments, textures and sound effects that have been erased from the blu-ray. Why oh why wasn't it fixed for the 50th Anniversary!!!!!!

Has anyone got info on the soundtrack CD that is included and what is on it? That and the JULIE RETURNS TO SALZBURG is apparently the only new thing in addition to the original artwork on the packaging. And I hope the original artwork is on the bluray itself.

You can also hear the dubbing singer on CLIMB EVERY MOUNTAIN at the end on the music only track. I absolutely love the music only/Robert Wise track. The scoring on this film is impeccable and you can hear many things on the music only track that have been erased from the master DTS track.

I believe that Julie Andrews was in a recording booth when the orchestra was being recorded and you can faintly hear her when she hits some of the loud high notes on the music only track.

I hope you're right. The music score of this film is as just as beautiful and important as the scenery. It is exquisite. This film is the Tiffany diamond of all others in my opinion. I never get tired of watching it.
