I find these repackaging jobs a bit disappointing but at least Fox admitted to it in advance so no big surprises here.

I think that Fox is well aware of the discussion around the sound and the picture quality and while the picture quality is more of a matter of debate it seems that not too many would dispute that the higher end of the frequency spectrum is a bit...
Indeed it is not hard to see that the Blu-ray has exceptional detail while the DVD is really a letdown in this regard even by DVD standards.
But of course nobody will complain when the Blu-ray is ever so slightly improved in PQ and first and foremost in AQ.
They certainly have files that they can use towards the creation of a 4k version for home use, same for Oklahoma! and Hello Dolly! to name two more large musicals from Fox.
