I would be surprised if the average movie buff could tell the difference between 4k and 8K. For the most part theatres won't be converting to 8K. It's just not practical.
Wow Dave..sounds like a nightmare to me. Hope you find the issues without a lot of trouble. I admit you guys are talking a foreign language to me. I think I'll stick to streaming, Blu Ray and 35mm film. Much less complicated!!
Good luck.

And no not buying these movies again after the 4K Blu-ray, lmao! I think I have done my part. ;)
That's the right decision Dave. Is there really going to be a BD higher than 4K???
Heck, I can't tell the difference between 2K and 4K!!!
Here's your answer if you're wanting to serve hotdogs. These Glenrays are hard to find and when you do they will set you back $200-$300 for one in good clean condition.
So Dave.....a question for you.
IF you had the option of watching the new Bond movie at your house on your system or screening it a a commercial theatre for the SAME PRICE, which would you choose?
Sounds like some great equipment Dave!! However, for those prices I'll be very, very happy to stay with my Epson and Oppo. ;)
Actually at those high end Sony projector prices I can buy a "B" stock cinema DLP Barco.
Those covers look nice but I refuse to triple dip the titles I have. My Oppo 103 and Epson 5010 will just have to suffice. But I can understand those who want to keep up with the latest technology.
Go for it!!!
Exactly Stanley. Honestly with my 67 year old eyes I don't think the difference between 2K and 4K would be something I'm even worried about....period. I'd rather spend the $$ on something else.
I also have no desire for ATMOS.
Sam you and I will have to agree to disagree. I don't know what your background is or your experience but we have completely concepts on these amplifier and screen subjects. There is another difference between us Sam. I respect other people opinions and ideas. You on the other hand state...
Just one more comment I'll offer as to the reliability of amplifiers. Performance of Bag End product looks good. I guess one reason I'm so impressed with QSC is my experience with years of using their product. I owned and operated 11 multi-screen movie theatres for years before retirement...
After some quick research on Bag End I find no applications for commercial movie
theatres. They have a lot of product for screening rooms, live venues,
home theatres, etc. My knowledge is limited to commercial theatre equipment thus
my HT is designed as a mini commercial theatre.
If anyone could...
If you're looking for the hottest amps and speakers on the market I would recommend
checking out QSC. I'm running all JBL Pro speakers currently but if I ever decide
to upgrade, I'm buying QSC Cinema speakers. I've been using QSC amps for years and
wouldn't use anything else. I don't know what...
