If I turn on both channels in the receiver and keep both connected to the one subwoofer, do I gain anything, lose anything, or would that make no difference?

My receiver (Denon AVRX3500) has left and right subwoofer outputs. I just purchased a subwoofer that has left and right inputs. I don't really want to use a second subwoofer. Should I connect cables to both inputs from both outputs on the receiver or should I just connect one of the two channels?

Found my own answer... When multiEQ XT32 is set to "reference" which is where Audessey sets it as default, both the equalizer is greyed out and the tone controls aren't even visible. Turning the MultiEQ XT21 setting off enables these controls.

This used to be a problem with tube amps but I too have never heard of any problems with solid state amps.

I recently purchased this receiver and just cannot find any tone adjustment anyplace! Should it have one? I set the speakers up using Audessey. Does this by any chance remove the tone control from the menus? I am having a hard time believing that there is no tone adjustment in this receiver. Can...
