Like back in the 80s, after the fall of the Soviet Union, when you could go to Russia with a few of suitcases full of Levi's and make a killing selling them on the street.
Reggie, I'm just as lost. The only way it makes any sense is if they're all stolen.... but I can't imagine they wouldn't be on the retail market somewhere if they are stolen shipments. But as is the case most of the time with these things, even the names are frauds... The Concerto as an...
Chinese sweat shops? These aren't systems that got "diverted" from market destined shipments... stolen units would come at no cost to the white van ringleader, other than paying his goons to sell them. At least they don't seem to be, as they aren't available on the open market....
I've spent a good bit of time this afternoon looking into the Elac B5/B6, C5, and F5/F6, and so far, I'm really impressed with what I've heard. FWIW, I'm running basically the same receiver as you, but the 5.2 version.... STRDH550.
According to the internet, this product doesn't exist. Google Goggles had zero results. Yahoo search had one match.... a link to this thread. Same with Bing.
Assuming you haven't returned it, how does it perform?
Hi Stan!
The good news is that things haven't changed that much since you last dabbled... just kidding, they've changed a TON! But for your needs, the biggest changes to worry about are the cables and inputs/outputs. No more RCAs with the white/red audio and yellow video. HDMI takes care of...
It doesn't sound like an atypical setup. Just about everyone I know that runs auto setup (Audyssey or equivalent) runs the setup for distance and delay establishment, then they go in and manually tweak the levels to match their speaker setup and until it sounds good to them. You're basically...
I'd start by matching the cutoff freq. of the surrounds. If Audyssey set those up to drop out at 80 Hz, set the sub x-over to pick it up from right around there. Check out some of the bass management vids on youtube. They may be able to help you pinpoint your problem.
Yes, they are. The entire T.O.P album is good, What is Hip is pretty good, and an older album, Bump City has a song that has one of the grooviest bass lines ever.... You got to funkifize.... GREAT song!
I agree with you here. It's not that Bourne Legacy was a bad movie, per se. It's just that it wasn't a Bourne movie. Maybe they should have named it Treadstone Legacy. And no, the latest, Jason Bourne, wasn't a bad movie..... it just felt so typical. Or as I said before.... formulaic.
Confirmed to be creepy. It was a refreshing modern horror flick that didn't just rely on "jump scares" like The Conjuring 2. It wasn't saturated with gratuitous sex and violence, and the ending wasn't completely predictable. Don't knw that I'd add it to my BD collection, but can't say I wouldn't...
Or is it just me? I was hoping for a good follow-up to Ultimatum, but this one just seemed like they put very little effort into it. Formulaic..... the Rambo-ish start, then before you can blink, you're thrown into car chase scene. There weren't ANY memorable scenes in the latest offering. My...
If all else fails, you can try the Peel Smart remote, if they have smart phones with IR ports. Worked like a charm for me when I "lost" my BD player remote for a month or so.
