I think the vibe has a lot to do with the appearance of a a new generation of British actors that to me are strongly linked to the sixties in popular culture in general. For me this also falls into the category of " bank holiday film" which seems to have disappeared to a great extent now.

As you are the first to comment on what appears to be the new release can you be a bit more illuminating? Has the new release got lossless audio? Any mention on the packaging of a new restoration or scan? If it's not got lossless audio it's likely just a repackaging of the last release.
