I just finished watching "The Conqueror" (Der Eroberer) starring John Wayne and Susan Hayward. Not a bad movie but not one of the Dukes best. Pq and aq are about normal for a film of this vintage. It is region 2 locked and it does have english subs. It is a Koch Media release I enjoyed it ...
Robert you are amazing! I've downloaded about a dozen of your covers and the one above will be mine also. Just a special ATTA' BOY for your The Shootist cover. The German one just did not get it. I appreciate your special talent and hope to see more soon.
Thanks, Gary
OOPS! Pardon the previous post.
The Explosive Media copy of Bandolero must be OOP. Amazon de. has it listed now for 75 euros!!
And the transfer is excellent.
I enjoyed Bite The Bullet. Haven't seen that one mentioned. Just a heads up for those with all region players, Amazon de. is having a sale til' the 24th of July. Quite a few classic westerns on sale for less than 10 euros. Just a few I recall are White Feather, The Last Wagon, War Arrow...
I just recieved Circus World starring John Wayne and directed by Henry Hathaway.Picture quality was stunning. Audio was quite good. Released by Koch Media, region B locked with no subtitles. I use subs when available, but had no problems hearing with this one. Very colorful with all the circus...
I've just watched a blu-ray starring James Stewart and June Allyson, among others, called The Glenn Miller Story. Very good movie directed by Anthony Mann. Anything with Jimmy starring is worth a blind buy, and this is no exception. Pq is very good , as is the audio. The music is the super star...
Funny, I placed my order on 6/9 and recieved it today. Five days order to blu-ray player. The Mechanic, 10 Rillington Place and Where the Sidewalk Ends will start tonight.
Agreed! Very good western with excellent pq.
Watched Violent Saturday last night. I could not believe how wonderful the pq of this movie was .It is stunning! And it is subtitled.
I have purchased 4 titles. Boomerang and Pickup On South Street. POSS is the better of the two, but both are very good. As I recall both are sub-titled. I have Lifeboat and Violent Saturday on order. The Shootist is not subed. I also prefer subs and I had little or no trouble with it. All are...
Ramin, you are going to love The Shootist. And, I'm going to revisit Gunmans Walk this afternoon. I would also like to call your attention to some Eureka titles at Amazon.uk. Some of their titles are very reasonable. I have purchased several and have enjoyed them all. Their qualiy is excellent.

I imported this one from Germany a couple of years ago. Excellent movie. Very good pq on my copy. I'm sure Kinos will be excellent as well. This is a good one!!
The Shootist is available from Amazon.de.
It is a Lionsgate/Pidax release. I have several of their blu-rays and have not yet been disapointed. It is region B locked with no subs. I usually use subtitles when they are available, but the audio is quite good along with the picture quality. I'm...
I watched Cheyenne Social Club and Firecreek yesterday. I think I have all of Mr. Stewarts westerns including The Shootist in blu-ray. I've started to revisit them thanks to this thread.
