So Lemmings is name-calling? Whatever you say, I was talking about a group of people in general. Disrespectful is you making much ado about nothing and then labeling it name-calling. I did not specifically call out one person, and lemmings are nothing more than an often-used reference to a...
Here we go again. Lemmings jumping on a DNR bandwagon when they know nothing about the intention of the filmmakers or the circumstances under which the film was made. I consider this just the usual parade of lemmings.
So you don't give out five stars, huh? That, sir, is weak sauce. Very weak sauce. There has always been a hint of male superiority on this site. No, not a hint. It's heavily laden.
You never said anything negative, yet you have the flimsiest excuses for marking the most original film in...
There has not been a more original movie like Barbie in years. Everything was perfect, especially the acting, the script, the cinematography, and, lord almighty, the set design. But I guess all you saw was a chick flick, or maybe you're one of those who think of it as nothing more than an...
One person with "unnamed" or "unconfirmed" sources reports something that can't be verified and the entire internet goes crap. Same old same old. The sky is falling. And now....you can't log onto the one source who relied on the same unnamed sources. Nothing changes. Play it again, Sam...
May be true but when I click on my order it is no longer there except to say it's been cancelled. Can't reorder because Amazon says it's "out of stock" and has no way to order.
I wasn't enamored with any of these series except Wandavision. Regardless, I was going to purchase them anyway to have in my collection. I don't agree with your assessment of Loki. I thought it was a mess and would rather have Hawkeye which at least has the Christmas thing going for it. But when...
After reading your message, I decided to check Deep Discount where the product is also $19.99. But it is listed as being on backorder there as well. On the other hand,, they have Rio Bravo for just about a dollar more, so there's that. I had no trouble getting Rio Bravo but I feel like...
Universal's Red Sky at Morning. I had thought it was destroyed in the fire, but come to find out from Kino, there are legal issues. What those issues are, I have no idea. And from Warner, I wait patiently for an upgrade of A Summer Place, which is said to need a new scan, but apparently, they...
I have an Elvis section in my bluray library. I'm not under the delusion that his movies improved with age. So, your review in that regard is probably spot-on. But I collect them anyway. Some are more painful to watch than others. Kissin' Cousins, for example, would be on the list of worst...
The negativity will pop up if you go to the ratings and click on the one-star reviews. I found out the hard way that's what one should do and Amazon needs a better system and quit this. I ordered a bluray of Point of No Return. I got a bluray of Pretty Woman which I already owned. But on the...
I've quit buying from third-party sellers on Amazon, even if Amazon ships the product. After several incidents, I finally figured out that Amazon is covering for a lot of bad third-party sellers by dismissing complaints as "we are responsible for this fulfillment"; thus, negative reviews don't...
Which was the point I was trying to make. And if they're sitting in a vault collecting dust, they will age and age badly. They can't even take care of most of their shows from the 50's to the 70's where there were many programs from their anthology series too numerous to name here.
I have not...
Film Preservation is a foreign, unknown word, and not in the dictionary for studios like Disney. What they've done or should I say not doing with the Fox Library is a film disaster, and unless some of these restoration people start calling the studios out on this, then they'll get nowhere.
And yet, you'll read tons of articles about the importance of film restoration and why we should donate, while some studios only consider things with a slide rule while farting away their library.
I'm not much for anecdotal stories, but I'm giving you one anyway. Back in the 80's, I worked at one of the first video rental stores before the big chains moved in and took over. The owner and his wife absolutely loved The Tamarind Seed and took it home on VHS to watch many, many, many times...
I have over 2000 4k's and Blu Rays. I've watched close to three hundred movies since putting together my home theater three years ago. So no matter what happens, I'm still good. (I watched a lot more before the theater, though) I'd probably have watched even more than that, but having been in...
