take the onkyo HT-RC360 for example. $250 on sale. 2 zones with networking. you're saying adding a third or fourth zone functionality jumps the price to $thousands? I don't even need the HDMI, Dolby/DTS/etc processing, just stereo per zone. I don't get it.

There is no main room. This amp will soley handle 4 rooms, 2 speakers each, with the ability to turn on/off each room separately. No need for 5.1 or 7.1.
