The UE Boom worked very well with the smart phone. I also puchased a bluetooth music sender, this unit.. http://www.amazon.com/Miccus-Home-RTX-Bluetooth-Transmitter/dp/B00713RSE0
I hooked it directly to my 3.5mm audio out on the TV instead of the receiver and it worked...
Schan,
Thanks for the replies and the information. I just got back from the store and picked up the UE boom speaker. Gonna try it with the wife's smartphone first and then order one of the Bluetooth senders that you told me about. BestBuy did not stock them.
Thanks again!
Jim
Looking to purchase a UE boom so the wife can listen to her iPhone music outside on the patio through a decent speaker. Seems pretty easy with the bluetooth connectivity. My question is.... Can I also send the audio signal from my home theater setup to the outdoor speaker via bluetooth or by...
Thanks for the responses. Learn something new every day. For now, I will keep my present setup since at least the video and audio is sync'd up. I guess my ears can't tell the difference between Dolby Pro Logic and Dolby Digital. Maybe I just never heard it before so I don't know what I am...
So in my case, the only way to get true DD 5.1 would be with a receiver that has HDMI inputs and a feature that delays the audio so it is in sync with the video?
I lose 5.1 if I use the digital optical audio output from TV to receiver? I just installed the toslink cable between TV optical output and the receiver optical input. The audio-video is now in sync again. :tu: I can turn on the TV speakers and the receiver speakers as a test and there is no echo...
I didn't mean that a longer cable would solve the issue, I meant I needed a longer cable in order to run the optical audio from the TV to the receiver vs running it from the Tivo box to the receiver. My cable now is too short and won't reach. My theory is that the optical audio output of the TV...
OK....Network TV through the tivo HD box > HDMI cable > to the rear of the TV. No delay using TV speakers, but still a noticeable delay when using the optical output of the tivo to the receiver. I can see the difference between lip movement and sound. If I turn on both the receiver and the TV...
My Tivo has a digital optical output for the audio and I am using that connected directly to the receiver. My DVD player is a cheapy old one on and does not have digital optical out, so that is why I am using the 2 RCA jacks for audio from DVD player to the receiver. When I get back home this...
Hello all, Just upgraded from an old 50" Mitsubishi projection to a Sharp Aquos 60" LED TV. I now have a slight delay in the video compared to the audio. I see this whether going through my Tivo HD DVR or my old DVD player. Tivo goes HDMI to the TV and optical audio out to the receiver (old...
