That's the version on the shout factory blu ray. That is the theatrical version. A Longer version must have been expanded for television using out takes, or the European release included more added material.
Just watched this again after so many years. A very heart wrenching film to get through...For those wondering if there was a 3 hour version released in the United States?Never happened. The 2 hr. 39 minute version is what premiered at the Beekman theatre in N.Y.C. I also confirmed the running...

I've caught the discount BR bug also...in the last few weeks I purchased The Last Waltz, War Games, Thelma and Louise and Cleopatra. I have to admit I am happy I did, otherwise I wouldn't have revisited these films. I enjoyed these even more because of their superior HD presentation.
The transfer is quite nice, very film like. On my 60" it looks fantastic. I've watched the blu twice already and I always feel like I'm watching it at the cinema. Highly Recommended.
Didn't like Gravity due to its unrealistic premise. Sandra hanging off doors several times as massive space vehicles disintegrate around her..yeah right.....it was a roller coaster ride like any other mindless Hollywood movie made today. No substantial story present for any emotional...

None. Maybe if I was more familiar with the film, I may have picked up on some of the clues. I only saw Born Yesterday once and that was probably over twenty years ago.
Well after viewing the Arrow release I will be selling off my TT disc. The colors are stunning. I noticed no sharpening, the blacks were a wee bit heavier but that just boosted the contrast which was more pleasing. The TT transfer seemed too much on the pinkish magenta side, with those night...
Does "Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel" have any connection to a role the lead actor played in this film? This is my Question. My earlier post was todays guess which was "SPEECHLESS" which starred Michael Keaton.
Bruce, I borrowed a friends DVD of Lost Horizon and watched it last night. It's a BAD movie. I don't know why some people are rabid when defending this mess. However, I love XANADU, for personal reasons. And just like Lost Horizon, I know its a BAD movie.
DVD Empire has ODE TO BILLY JOE back up for Pre-order for March 12, 2013. Not sure if there is a Blu Ray release...but probably not. Heres hoping we actually see it released this time.
Well I remember seeing "Pete's Dragon" on HBO when it premiered in January 1981. And I recorded it to VCR tape and I remember it being 137 minutes long. Unfortunately I don't have the tape anymore for comparison. Even the HBO guide I still have and the Long Island CABLEVISION guide states a...
I Still find it hard to believe Sony hasn't gotten around to releasing "ONLY WHEN I LAUGH."
The movie did very well and Marsha Mason, James Coco and Joan Hackett were nominated for Oscars.
Sony please release this.
