I imagine that I'm a member of the LaserDisc cult as that's the version of the film I love the most. However, it seems like the main things I wanted to see - the full, extended versions of the songs (and the Lees reprise), and color correction - will be covered by the extended cut. Yes, it's sad...

This news has just made my year! Every couple of months I've been checking online for some news and I almost jumped out of my chair fist pumping the air when i saw this. Now, how about a re-mastered soundtrack CD with the longer versions of the songs (and cut bits) on it? -Bob-

Sad to hear about all this. My grandfather was a cameraman on this film so it's got a special place in my heart. Guess it's time to pull out the old LD box set and give that a whirl. Hopefully the folks at MGM will come around. -Bob-
