Yes, Hugo is a masterpiece that should have won best picture and best director. This is how 3D movies should be made. I think it proves that making a 3D movie from scratch is the only way to go. Star Wars in 3D was such a disappointment and I hear that Titanic is going to be worse.

Thank you for that review. I think I liked the movie better than you did, because in this type of movie, I always look for how the job effects the field agents involved. This movie satisfied me in that regard. I found the movie well cast and directed. I found the characters to be believable.

The price has varied at Amazon. I pre-ordered it at $24.99, but when it was released, it was $19.99. Now that the holiday sales are over, it is back at $24.99

I have no objection to the continuation of the series if they are not allowed to sink to the level of the first series of sequels. I don't think I could handle that. The only problem I see is that Rise doesn't mesh with the remake of Planet, terribly well.
