Just back from the local audio shop. They sell Boston Acoustics,B & W ,Polk Audio,Bose,Klipsh,Bose,Energy. I am looking for a 6.5 smaller floor speaker to replace my 12+ old B & W 601's. First thing out of the salesman mouth was" If it has no highs and no lows then it must be Bose"...

After reading about some of the Onkyo products such as the SR608 this sounds like a great receiver the only problem is I don't really have room for a 7.2 system, I do have room for a 5.1 system. Can I run the 7.2 system but only use 5 speakers?

New guy here. Don't beat me up to badly. I have a set of the B & M DM 601's that I bought back in about 1998. I have been using them with different home theater receiver's over the past 12 years. Is B & W is as good as they where years ago?
