What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

    How to Marry a Millionaire

I was talking about the TV show with Barbara Eden, not the movie with Marylin Monroe

SAM BENEDICT: Warner Archive Nov. 22, 2016

A question here. Is Sam Benedict similar to Perry Mason, one of my favorite TV show ? Thanks

    How to Marry a Millionaire

Any development on this future release. I've just checked Amazon and it's still "This title has not yet been released"

    Mill Creek cardboard release workaround

I don't like the packaging of many DVD sets so what I usually do is putting each disc in a thin jewel CD case and I'm doing a cover (front and back) for each jewel CD case (for those interested to see how it looks, send me a message and I'll send you a picture of it)

Is the b&w era of TV on DVD slowly coming to an end?

I think we can change the title to: The b&w era of TV on DVD is really dead. Fortunately we can see many episodes of vintage TV series on YouTube (far from being good quality recording but...), adventures series like: Adventures in Paradise, Hong Kong, San Francisco Beat, I Led 3 Lives, The Man...

Warner Archive in 2016. Take A Shot!

I don't want to sound negative but the way any 4 Warner Detective TV series were treated (look at the numerous requests for these 4 TV shows on Warner Archive Facebook page) I don't think we'll ever see these on DVD

    Crystal Ball Time!

I'm looking for a Crystal Ball that will predict a wake-up call for Warner Archives and they'll finally start releasing their 4 TV detectives series (77 Sunset Strip, Hawaiian Eye, Surfside 6 and Bourbon Street Beat).

    Wishes??

Wishes! Well for me it might be the return of TGG ( Sea Hunt, Bat Masterson, Ripcord, My Mother the Car, ...) in the DVD business.

Warner Archive in 2016. Take A Shot!

Unfortunately I gave up on those 4 WB detective shows. Two of them were promised at the very beginning of this Warner Archive project, a long time ago, and still no hope to ever see them.

Warner Archive Instant in Canada ?

Thanks for the reply Worth. I guess I'll wait to see TCM streaming service since TCM is already available in Canada.

    Speaking of nostaligia...

Hardcastle and McCormack is good, not great but good. A lot of action in this TV show produced by the same guy behind A-Team
  17. M

Do you guys collect for nostalgia or quality?

Since I've not watched any actual TV shows for the last 10 years, I've been collecting TV shows on DVD from the 50's through the early 80's and I'd say that about 60% of my collection is TV shows I've never heard of before so for me it's a mix of nostalgia and good taste.

Most Episodes with no Season Set DVD Releases

Good to see you back Gary. So I guess your cristal ball isn't working anymore. Contrary to you, I hope these two series won't be westerns (not my favorite genre)

    Predictions for 2016?

" 19) Longstreet - James Franciscus " - It's supposed to be released by VEI later As for me, I'd like to finally see: - Burke's Law (season 2) and Amos Burke Secret Agent (kinda season 3) - 77 Sunset Strip - Hawaiian Eye - Bourbon Street Beat - Surfside 6 - The Green Hornet - Richard Diamond -...

Any chance of The Felony Squad on DVD...?

That should explain why there's no chance for Felony Squad to be available on DVD
  23. M

Barnaby Jones - The Complete Series

I guess if we're expecting "high-def transfers" the price will be a LOT higher than what VEI is asking (just look at the price CBS were asking for their half seasons sets). After all, if you pay $15000 for a car don't expect to have a Cadillac, you'll have a Cruze for that price.

Cannon And Others Coming Back Courtesy Of VEI

My POV on this is simple: If an independant company is willing to release a complete season or better yet a complete set of a TV show on DVD that, let's say, CBS, Warner, Universal or Fox (!) won't released for any reason, I'm glad that, at least, it can be available. Just think of all the TMG...

    Amos 'n' Andy

I don't want to sound negative but I can't see that happening.

    Great list Neil

TMG: THE NAME OF THE GAME: SEASON 1 8/19/2014

By the look at the DVD cover's design (really awful) and the mention "Quality: 8.5 of 10; This series is decades old and never to be released in HD quality" as well as looking at their other releases, I can safely say that it's bootleg (pirate release)
