    SNL Season 2

Great news, Gord! "Live from New Orleans......it's SUNDAY Night!"

Bad News on Parker Lewis Can't Lose

I didn't like that show at all. It was too weird (in the Malcolm in the Middle mold). Parker was one of the more annoying characters, and it's amazing that Corin Nemec continues to work. I didn't care for him as Jonas Quinn on Stargate SG-1 either. I will say that Melanie Chartoff (as...

SNL Season 1 on 12/5/06 (and season sets in general)

Hey, guys. Season 1 is over. Let's post here instead from now on, please: http://hometheaterforum.com/htf/show....php?p=3232582

    SNL Season 2

Me neither, because I was just 8 years old when it first aired. Even though they did the New Orleans SNL special in prime time (on a Sunday evening). I didn't start watching SNL until 1981. SNL prime time offerings have become a tradition ever since, thanks to Lorne Michaels. The difference...

    The Rockford Files Season 5

I still have to buy the 4th season set, but this is good news. :) Now I get the Sleuth Channel, which plays The Rockford Files every day but I haven't even checked it out yet.

    David Janssen and "Naked City"

At this point Image has released at least 60 of the 99 hour-long shows on disc, and I have most of them. (I also have the entire I SPY series in the 3 big box sets). What I don't understand is why the original 39 half-hour NAKED CITY episodes with John McIntire and James Franciscus (Horace...

Finally "Charles & Charge Season 2"

I'll take your word for it, because I like Dick Van Dyke. Never got into his doctor series though. :)

Finally "Charles & Charge Season 2"

I didn't like this show when it was on the network. Other than his current reality show in which Scott Baio apologizes to several women he broke up with over the years, the man hasn't been in anything entertaining since Happy Days.

Mill Creeks's "Best of Jack Benny" details

There are a few titles in there I haven't seen before, such as those with guests Audrey Meadows and Ernie Kovacs. But are these remastered or the same public domain titles that have been circulating? With all of the extras (Jack's guest appearances on other shows), it would seem that this is...

New release Coming in October... Dusty!

There are several extended clips from Dusty's TV show on that You Tube site you linked to, although they are lesser quality (kinescopes) than this DVD release.

    "The Wonder Years" on DVD

Here's a Wonder Years-related current day tidbit: Cute Danica McKellar, who once played Kevin's girlfriend Winnie is also a mathematician, and she's promoting her new book about math at a Borders bookstore here in San Diego on Tuesday night.

    Loretta Young Show is coming!

I wouldn't buy The New Phil Silvers Show, but I remember Jeff saying that he was a fan of the old Silvers show and bought the 50th anniversary DVD set. :) I'm not sure this has anything to do with Loretta Young though. Please stay on topic.

    The Mod Squad Season One

The only thing good about this show was to be able to occasionally see Peggy Lipton in miniskirts. Other than that, it had cool theme music. I wonder if Peggy was any good on the Twin Peaks series in the early 1990s? I've never seen that show.

    Still another Aaron Spelling production.

    The Mod Squad Season One

I remember all 3 words THE MOD SQUAD for all of the seasons....not that it matters. THE TWILIGHT ZONE was shortened to TWILIGHT ZONE in its 4th season and stayed that way to the end. Of all the actors on this show, it's interesting that Clarence Williams III (who played Lincoln Hayes) had...

    The Mod Squad Season One

I wouldn't buy Mod Squad even if they were complete seasons, but it was a good show. I saw them all when WWOR EMI Service used to rerun it in the mid 1990s. "The Return of the Mod Squad" was a respectable (but unnecessary) TV movie reunion with all 4 of the original stars. I think it was an...

SNL Season 1 on 12/5/06 (and season sets in general)

Of course they will have it. People were sensitive about that in September 2001, but now it's not that a big deal. NBC didn't have a problem running one of the 1975 SNLs featuring a sketch in which all of the passengers on an commercial airplane are given guns.

SNL Season 1 on 12/5/06 (and season sets in general)

Lorne Michaels wouldn't skip the Murphy / Piscopo years, because he enjoyed them too (proof of that is their being shown in a number of Michaels-produced SNL specials). It's the Doumanian season introducing Joe & Eddie that let him down, and although the ratings certainly reflected that there...

    The Man From UNCLE??

How do we know for sure that it will be 41 discs? Information given out too early isn't always the most reliable. I haven't seen any official mention that Girl from U.N.C.L.E. would or wouldn't be included. But even if the Stefanie Powers spinoff isn't in this set, that doesn't make sense for...

    The Man From UNCLE??

They would more likely have 4 shows to a disc, rather than 3.

    The Man From UNCLE??

I've always been a big Man from U.N.C.L.E. fan. When is Time-Life expected to release the original series?
