Does the cast include a famous golden age star, as well as someone who would in subsequent years find quite a bit of success behind the camera? If I'm right, I'm also underwhelmed.

Has anyone received their season 3 set yet? I ordered it directly from Shout in June and haven't received it yet. Someone noted having the same issue on Shout's website. A reviewer on Amazon noted, without going into detail, that there were some season 2 episodes on his season 3 set. If there is...
Randall, thank you for sharing this great news. Mr. Novak is one of my favorite shows. I am looking forward to reading Mr. Harter's book. Please pass along my thanks for his labor of love.
The set is DVD-R (for those who care). The original Weinberger/Daniels and Paramount closing logos are intact on all episodes. The set is from older tape masters with varying degrees of artifacts, but good overall PQ, not HD good, but more than watchable, unless you're in the 500 inch, 16x9...
One of the best dramas of the 1970's. There should be tape for this show from the LBS syndication era (if I recall correctly, Neil Brock can clarify I'm sure). I was hoping to see it released via Sony's MOD program, but I don't know if Sony is continuing with their MOD venture or not.
Thanks, Bob. When Neil mentioned that another QM show was coming, my first thought was Dan August, with Most Wanted second. I don't remember much about the show, but I'll surely pick it up for the pleasure of watching JoAnn Harris.
No, they aren't. Missing is "Blues for a Junkman", with Dorothy Dandridge. I guess that her musical performances in this episode couldn't be cleared. This must be what's preventing a DVD release.
James, He and She isn't a Sony-owned title, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat if CBS would release it.
As far as Sony is concerned, most important for me would be the rest of Police Story.
My other wants from them are:
Medical Story
The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show
Tightrope
Eischied...
The CBS owned shows that I'd be interested in which also fit all of Neil's criteria are For the People (likely), or Breaking Point (not likely). The Young Lawyers is the least awful of the 1970-71 season's "relevancy" dramas, but it's still pretty bad. I'd gladly buy The New Breed, but I don't...
All of the episodes are uncut, timing out at around 25:30. Sponsor logos on most of the closing credits. 20th Century Fox logo and CBS iris at close. I'm happy with the A/V quality, but, as another poster noted, it doesn't look as good as Paramount's remastered shows. I have to make special note...
Neil, I think it's the usual copy and paste from IMDB, just as the incorrect airdate for Tidal Wave has been repeated ad nausem, even in Muir's book on the series IIRC.
Carabimero (David?), I apologize for being so vague. Part one of "Four Feet in the Morning" was aired on Dr. Kildare, and part two aired six days later on The Eleventh Hour. It's an early example of a "crossover" storyline aired on two different shows from the same production company.
Jack...
Thanks for the update Carab. Your memory is correct, the pilot was originally a Kildare episode which was edited and reshaped to become the first episode of The Eleventh Hour. I'm kind of disappointed that part two of "Four Feet in the Morning" was not included on this release. If it had been...
The Star and the Story is the syndication title for Rheingold Theater. It's a Four Star show, so the production values are good for the era. About a third of the episodes are adaptaions of Maugham stories, but the writing for the show is only ok. A lot of terrific casting helps cover this...
Carabimero, when you receive your set, will you please let us know if the second part of the two-parter "Four Feet in the Morning" is included? I'd assume WB will include it, and it would mark the first DVD release of The Eleventh Hour.
Gary, that's exactly what I'm insinuating. We might not share the same opinion of Mr. Mavis' reviews, which is fine. However, you have rather seriously mis-stated the issues regarding his reviews of The Fugitive (Specifically S2, V1). Perhaps you might pause to review/recall the issues that many...
Good points all. Ironside has never seemed to have a large fanbase in the US. I don't remember it being widely available since the very early 1980's (other than on WOR's national feed). Perhaps it is one of those shows that is more popular abroad: It always seems to be running in the UK whenever...
A careful reading of what Joyce has posted (Thanks, Joyce for posting this info, BTW), would indicate that only bonus/extra material is being referenced by the respective admisitrators. No mention is made of the episodes themselves. A bonus disc shouldn't make anyone double dip. Brad, you do...
I'm trying to channel some of Danny's optimism, and hope that there is a "secret code" in the subtitle of this release ("The Most-Wanted Edition"). Otherwise, this will be a worthless product (except to Paramount), and we'll still have only half of this series seeing a proper release. Since...
