I don't see why it was a problem to post this in the DVD forum since TV-DVD is all about shows like these. And some of them are unavailable and of interest to those wishing for their DVDs. No, I am not from KTLA. I also don't understand why it would be a problem if KTLA spread the word here...

You do realize American Life is airing the shows only once a week. It'll be years before they run all the MTMs.

That was a special disc available at Starbucks. They'll always do "Best Ofs" and more current cast members. I'd be surprised if S2 doesn't arrive by Christmas.

It's a catch-22. If customers don't support the single season sets, then there is no marketability for the studio to EVER do a complete series set.

The complete boxed set of HOMICIDE has the L&O episodes, I believe. It would be a good idea to do a special dvd of the crossovers and some extras as M*A*S*H did with the Finale DVD.

I find the hard drive indispensable in editing the shows first before putting on dvds. Whether it be to remove commercials or just split the episodes off a vhs tape. All in the Family has been a fairly annual release. I'm hoping they will include the 200th episode hosted by Norman Lear when that season 9 comes out. It hasn't aired in decades.

Dirt was renewed for a second season. I would imagine the dvd would precede it by early 2008. Studio 60 has been announced.

Hopefully the trend for Angels, WKRP and other series will be to finish out the remaining seasons so that they could do box sets of the complete series. It would be awesome if WKRP could do that and use the original music in a high-end collectors set.

Did they alter the theme song? I suspect the promo "extras" will be from the Paramount syndication package and not the original NBC promos. Daphne Zuniga was Alex's girlfriend during his senior year of high school (as was Jami Gertz if I recall). She was also his ex in an episode of Spin City.
