To your point, I have bought these multiple times, and I am in no rush to buy them again. I have the 30 film blu-ray set and I am good with that until they release a 30 film 4K set, and until it goes way down in price. Whenever that may be.
I thought the same thing, but it did start during the “birth” of the Gene persona. While all of Saul’s assets were being taken, thus killing the Saul persona, elsewhere Gene was being born.
I also use the My Movies app to catalog my collection. It's pretty good, not perfect, but almost! I have already uploaded my entire collection, now I just love fiddling around with it, and arranging things to my liking.
Maybe they will be launching a standalone app. It honestly makes sense in this day and age with so many people dropping cable/satellite service. I’m sure it will still be available on those providers, but it will now be available to many who no longer have those services… like me! ;)
I was initially excited when I saw this. Upon further inspection it’s not an upgrade of the DVD sets as I had thought. I’ll still keep an eye on this, but I had really hoped they’d upgrade the DVDs as they were released to blu-ray. Perhaps that was not possible?
My first iPad had cellular and I used to pay for the cell plan on it when I would travel for work. Some hotels didn't used to offer free wi-fi so I used the cellular option in those cases to connect to the internet. Nowadays there's more free wi-fi available and if I'm really in a pinch I have...
Ron, after reading your original post a little better, I need to make a couple of other comments. It seems like there's a few things you're looking for which will really make your choice difficult. Ultimately you will have to decide what really matters to you because I don't think you'll be able...
My family loved BMWs, and they have had mixed results. My mother has always driven the 500 series and has had three over the years, she is still driving the 2001 she last bought and it has only required routine maintenance for the most part. My father always liked the 700 series and he owned 3...
I have never owned an all-region DVD player, nor do I own an all-region Blu-Ray player. I began buying DVDs in the summer of '98 and my first BR disc in January of '07. I have about 1300 films on BR as well as I don't know how many DVDs anymore, but it's a lot. I've always had it in the back of...
I am in SoCal and I could have sworn Costco sells the TCLs. I could definitely be wrong, but I really thought they did. It's possible they did and no longer do.
I have Netflix and HBO. Because of the volume of content I watch from those they both require year-round subscriptions for me. I also have Prime, but their content is just a bonus for me. I mainly pay for the two-day/same day shipping because I buy quite a bit from Amazon throughout the year. I...
I don't own this film, but would like to. I have to say that putting the comparison between the UHD and the Blu-ray so simply is really helpful. Many times the reviewer goes to lengths to say that there is only a slight uptick in quality, but they rarely if ever tell you that it's not a...
So, I forgot to come back and say how things worked out. I bought the Tendak HDMI switcher with a digital coaxial out, the one I pictured in a post above. It did exactly what I needed it to! I now have my Fire TV Stick incorporated seamlessly into my HT setup and am getting 5.1 sound from it. If...
I am thinking the item I posted will work because I can plug the Fire TV into it and the run an HDMI from it to the TV and a coaxial cable directly into my receiver. It should work just like the other two things I have plugged into the TV, and give me 5.1. I’ll see when I get it on Monday, I...
Well, I kind of thought that might be the case. It’s better than sound from the tinny TV speakers though. I think that might be the best with what I have at the moment. I really need a new receiver though.
Thanks for that. I feel like I'd be more inclined to use that if getting a video signal was the problem. Video displays perfectly. I'd just want to get sound through my speaker setup rather than through the TV speakers. I was hoping someone would let me know if they think what I'm trying to do...
Hello All,
I’m looking for a little guidance here.
I am having trouble incorporating a Fire TV Stick into my home theater setup which includes a 9 year old Panasonic Plasma model # TC-P58v10 and a 15 year old Rotel receiver model # RSX-1055. The specific problem I am having is getting...
I know this may be a longshot being that it never released a proper DVD release, but I would love to have Toto Le Heros (1991) receive the Criterion treatment.
Also, more Almodovar please!
I've picked up a few double features lately during BB's U & S promotion and I've also noticed there are some more on the way. It seems the bigger studios are releasing some pretty good ones featuring catalog titles. I've picked up some from Fox, WB, Paramount and Universal, some of these even...
