It looks like their Facebook page is going away and they are moving to Substack: https://tvshowsondvd.substack.com/about
Looks like it will cost $5 a month to access it or $55 for the year.
I'm glad that Crackle has been adding a bunch of rare/short lived series, but I've noticed that most of them are not in their normal aspect ratio.
Some are in their original aspect ratio, but a lot of the ones I have checked aren't. What's weird is that some of the shows, like Fantastic Journey...

This is a great book that covers most of those shows from the late 50s to late 80s. Besides the episode guides, each show has a full chapter, usually with interview quotes from the people in front of and behind the camera...
Speaking of Jeannie and the Partridge Family 2200 AD, it looks like both shows are airing in Canada on CTV (along with a bunch of other short lived shows from the 80/90s).
CTV Shows
Westwind, a one season Saturday morning show from 1975, also filmed on location in Hawaii and it made the show stand out more than the other Saturday morning shows from that era that were filmed in southern California (Shazam!, Isis, Korg, Ark II, Run, Joe, Run, etc...).
Here's the opening...
A lot of the late 60s through early 80s live action stuff is missing too: most of the Krofft shows have been released, the Filmation ones (Ark II, Shazam, etc...), the PBS ones like the Electric Company, the Hanna Barbera ones (Korg, Benji, Zax and the Alien Prince), the ABC Afterschool...
What was strange about that part of the finale is that it contradicted previous episodes where they showed Ted wearing a wedding ring that took place prior to 2020. For a show that is usually pretty good about stuff like that, it seemed like a big mistake.
Another weird bit about the finale is...
For some reason, The Red Hand Gang, a short lived 1977 NBC Saturday morning series, was a bigger hit in the UK than in the US. It aired on a regular basis in the UK through the early 80s. They even got most of the cast to do a UK commercial for chewing gum and the UK got a DVD release about year...
There was a big crackdown on violence in cartoons in the late 60s, which is why stuff like the Superfriends and the Filmation superhero stuff of the 70s, like Shazam!, Isis, and the New Adventures of Batman couldn't have the characters punching each other. Because of that and the short window...
Not long ago on Facebook, the Archives had said that this and the Skatebirds were probably coming, but this is much sooner than I thought for Korg.
My only experience with the Archives is the recent Shazam! release, which was available for pre-order three months or so before the release date...
I guess the release is confirmed now. On the Warner Archive's Facebook page, they have the information for the Archive's panel at Comic Con and it looks like they are highlighting the release of Shazam! and actor Michael Gray, who played Billy Batson, will be there, too.
It wasn't syndicated, it aired on CBS as part of their Saturday morning line up. The cast and sets were also used for CBS's prime time Saturday morning preview special that year, Wacko Saturday Preview. I actually talked to someone who worked on the show about 10 years ago and they offered to...
That is weird. On one of those Warner Brothers' chats a few years ago, someone asked about them releasing the live action and animated series and their response was "no plans on Shazam animated or live action at this time. Both have mastering issues." The supposed reason BCI only released the...
Darn, I was hoping you had some inside scoop on the release. It seems like I heard they were going to release the whole series, too. So I guess they canceled or postponed the plans. Hopefully it will sell enough to warrant a second season release.
Do you know when the full series will be released? They just announced that the first season will be re-released in Sept, but the press release on TV Shows on DVD didn't mention a full series set or a second season release date.
If you have one in your area, you might try Half Price Books. I've found several of the BCI sets there unopened, including She-Ra and the Sci Fi Box Set with Ark 2, Space Academy, and Jason. Not sure how much the She-Ra was, but the Sci Fi Box was running for around $10 last time I checked...
Exactly. Awhile back, someone involved with the release told me that Big John would be first, then Run, Joe, Run in 2010. I would be very surprised to see Run, Joe, Run out next month, especially since there doesn't seem to be any publicity/press release behind it and some of the other Saturday...
A friend of mine got his copy of the set in the mail yesterday via Amazon. He said the shows look good, but no extras. Best Buy, Borders, Target, and Barnes and Noble seem to have it for online ordering only. Netflix doesn't have it in their system and my local video store that specializes...
