We got ours a week ago and signed up with the month trial Gold subscription. We'll most likely get the yearly subscription. We like it a lot so far. Certainly meet all sorts of people...
Oiu vay! Old threads regarding gamer tags and clans! Been part of the HTF community for awhile and looking for people with a 360 and H3. I'm usually on at night (eastern) and while I'm not that good yet I would love to play with some people from here as most here have a lot of class. Trust me...
Its funny because we were looking at them and decided to go with the 360 for the time being because of price then BOOM 100 drop. Really ticked us off! Of course this is similar to what Apple did with the iPhone. I wonder if Sony will offer rebates to existing customers although I doubt it.
Yep, I'll second the Harmony remote. So far great customer service too. When things didn't work exactly like they should they programmed the remote on thier end via USB cable and voila everything works! I'm not a big fan of LCD or Plasma. In my pro experience I have seen way too many problems...
Thats what I mean do they really expect people to go through all ten thousand pages of products for the contest???? Either that or its bait and switch.
So my wife and I went through thier online catalog systematically to no avail. Is the treasure hunt still going on? I think we found some codes but no cipher, ANYWHERE. Is this some kind of joke? Who in there right mind would pour through thousands of pages...oh wait I guess we did :D
For LCD, lens shift and under 1k try the Sanyo Z4. If you get it from B&H it will be 999 but comes with mount and pull down screen. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...Projector.html An excellent pj for the price and the lens shift means you can mount this puppy anywhere. Ours is mounted...
I have to agree with Robert J on this one. Car audio is far different than Home Theater. Bass in music especially hip hop and rap are often mixed to be over emphasized almost bordering on unnatural. A car is not tooled and tuned for acoustic response. I don't care how much you've spent on amps...
Because our DVD player is the Oppo and I LOVE that thing to death! I guess I'll have to upgrade the receiver with HDMI. Arrggg..more money I didn't wat to spend.
So I'm thinking about getting a PS3 but the problem is our Z4 has only one HDMI which is being taken by the DVD player. Question is can I still get close to the HD quality with component cables? I know, I know simple question I should know the answer to but its my first forey into HD gaming.
I'll second what mfs said. While I havn't hear these particular ML's I have heard thier subs and other speakers a few years ago. While they do sound nice I remember looking at the price and having a coronary. I think the same sound can be had for much cheaper.
As far as bad writing goes take a look at the Number 23 or the Batmans after Tim Burton...damn you Joel Schumacher. Well I can't damn him too much, I liked Falling down, Lost Boys and Phonebooth.
I too liked the movie and can't understand the nitpicking of the illusions. Aren't they supposed to be just that, illusions? I'm a huge fan of magic/illusions and love to try and figure out how its done. Some of the time I can figure it out but most of the time not. We have watched DVD's tv...
rdunn12- You room and set up sound very similar to mine. Sanyo Z4 with a 92"pull down screen and room size 17x13. When I started it was a painted on 88" screen. Slowly but surely we'll keep moving up, fortunately we're in the process of house hunting which will give us more space for the HT :D
Wow!! Sent it back just for a half second(15 frames) at the beginning of a CD, now thats nitpicking!! If I nitpicked that much I think my house would be empty, is your house empty?
Actually if you look around other forums and do some searches they ARE fairly high end components...and for a phenominal price Its fine to play devils advocate but at least back it up. What ID comapny are you talking about? In your opinion what sounds good? Everyones opinion is just that and...
Great choice! Although I was hoping you were going to go the SCS 5.1 route to give us some insight to that set (I have the SBS and am looking at the SCS set). I only have the PB10 but have heard the PB12 and a friend has the cylinder sub from SVS and all I can say is wow. Quick question; If this...
Yep, Bose from the 70's and 80's are good. Unfortuneatly they've hung thier hat on thier reputation from those eras and hoped people would follow along. We don't even have a dedicated room as in room treatments, special seating, risers and such and the Acoustimass and Lifestyle systems that were...
I admit this is very funny...I almost chocked on my coffee this morning. Look, before this turns into a flame war and/or you think these opinions are coming from an elitist point of view consider these points. Construction: Its been well documented that Bose uses cheap parts and skimps on...
Well lets see the Lifestyle starts at 2000 so the SVS SBS 5.1 is around 1k, or something from av123, Aperion, Acsend for around 1-15k and your already under the Bose. Throw in an Oppo Digital DVD player for 200. Then another 500 for an receiver and your looking at and your just over the amount...
If you look at the adio out connection it is a proprietary Bose connection for hooking up more overpriced Bose crap. The connections are for more Bose speakers and Bose amps and other assorted things. Problem is its all overpriced underperforming. Take a look at this article and also bring the...
