The Fly II has a mixed bag of opinions. Some love it, some hate it. I used to love it, now I think it's alright. I'm assuming since you're buying the first film purely on the opinion of others you can afford to just buy both anyway! ;)

Any news on the Region 2 release date yet? Amazon.co.uk has the release pegged for August 15, earlier than the US. August 15. is, however, the original US release date for 'The Fly' so maybe this is what it's referring to.

Hello everyone! I registered just for this topic...so it better be worth it. I've heard good things. Greg, what's with your apparent detest for cardboard sleeves? I love them, and I hope The Fly is released as such. Anyone else have a similar opinion?
