I am here in the mist of purchasing a new pair of Omni 250's in the next week or so. A HK receiver will do just fine. I'm going to be using a Yamaha receiver. I'm doing my second audition with them this week to make sure of my choice. Good luck!

Yes.

It was the 340c, and some might say it's my room... others may say since the tweeter is different then the 170's its not as smoothe, and a little off axis.

I just want everyones personal opinion. Please do not list more than 3 selections. :) It can be floorstanding, or book shelves.

If you have a receiver that requires you to setup a subwoofer you may want to go through the menus. I know I cannot just plug in a sub to my Yamaha receiver. I have to 'add' it. Another issue could be that you blew a fuse on the sub... assuming your sub has a few. Those are my first 2...

My budget is $1k or less for a pair of mains. I am days away from purchasing the 250s/and center. I have been able to listen to the Mirage Omni 250's and I just love the sound they put out. I may even consider the 260, but I am not sure the change in woofers from 5 1/4 to 6 1/2 are really worth...
