Frequency waterfall charts of a few familiar favourites

Yeah that would be useful for everyone to have the same point of reference, comparing these graphs would then be more meaningful. Wonder what causes those spikes down at 0-5hz in die-hard 'shoot the glass' and zorro? zorro is utterly bass-less! is that a particularly quiet passage, or is...

Frequency waterfall charts of a few familiar favourites

Thanks Kieth, that's just the sort of thing I'm looking for! If anyone else has similar contributions, especially older films, they would be much appreciated. :)

Frequency waterfall charts of a few familiar favourites

TO POSTERS OF WATERFALL CHARTS: Would u mind doing me a favour by plotting charts of some un-bassy pre-dts films? I'm doing a thesis on how cinema sound has evolved, and it'd be useful to compare these with the amazing bass-laden soudtracks of today. Any film you like, perhaps a classical...

    Another SVS 16-46CS+ or what?

I agree with Ned, I'd try putting the subsonic filter on. If you're still having trouble, I'd wait until you can run 2x dual 16-46+s. How about 3 co-located anyone? Would that improve output over 2 co-located and one on its own?

What would a PB12-ISD/2 do in a small BEDROOM?

Im in a similar situation to you Kenneth. Im in a small 4th floor flat when at uni and at home with my parents in the holidays. I love my music and have a decent 2.1 system. I watch movies on my computer, 19" TFT. I have some extra speakers I can wire up for 4.1, but I too will have to wait...

What would a PB12-ISD/2 do in a small BEDROOM?

I've just ordered a PB12-Ultra/2 for a room that size. I'd rather have a massive sub running cool and unstressed than have a small sub straining to get the bass performance I want. You can always turn it down, but there comes a point when it just won't go any louder... I don't want to find...

    SVS PB12-Ultra/2 or 2 PC-Ultras?

Yeah, I've been thinking that myself Mike. The ultras have a particular advantage below 25hz, and I'll be able to move them by myself. More money though! Perhaps I'll do as you suggest, buy one get the other. Are you running just the one PC-U at the moment or do you have 2 now? Whoa, Ilkka...

    SVS PB12-Ultra/2 or 2 PC-Ultras?

that's reassuring keith, as music is really my bag. I'm already set on something with the ultra driver in it actually, just deciding between the PB12-ultra/2 box or a pair of pc-ultras. decisions decisions!

    SVS PB12-Ultra/2 or 2 PC-Ultras?

Hi Ilkka, can you graph a couple of tunes for me in any case? I am not skeptical, just interested. DMX- My Life (I think the bass in this goes to about 28hz, but that's judged be ear using a test CD) Gladiator OST- Now We Are Free Wyclef Jean- Apocalypse and Gone Til November...

    SVS PB12-Ultra/2 or 2 PC-Ultras?

Hi, I am debating buying one of the above. My system is 2.1 at this point and will be mostly used for music, (but of course with movies too) and none of the rooms it will be used in will be massive. I have a penchant for deep bass and play a huge range of music, from classical to pop...
