Up for sale is my earthquake maker Adire Audio Tempest 15" Subwoofer that I custom made in black ash. It is 49" wide, 20" tall with rubber feet, and 18" deep. The enclosure is a net 218L (7.7cf) enclosure and has variable tuning via its dual 3" flared ports. In maximum output mode (both ports...
Originally sold for ~$130 from parts express. I have used this with my Adire Tempest 15" custom sub until I upgraded to a Rythmik 350w amp. This amp puts out 270+ watts into a 4 ohm load. Made more than enough power to push my tempest. Asking $100 shipped OBO. Pictures on request. Thanks.
This is the original Tempest that started it all. It is just a second driver i have laying around and don't have a room big enough to need 2 of these subs. My loss your gain. Build a 8cf enclosure tuned to ~18hz and you will have a MONSTER HT sub. I build a similar one for my music only system...
bleh.....I just tested out both the subs tonight....I'm just going to end up running the tempest only, surprisingly it blends well with my bookshelf speakers and has good enough midbass. I built the tempest to be used in both sealed and ported mode...when its sealed it sounds awesome for music...
yeah I was reading up on the FMODs, sounds easy but I don't like introducing passive filters into the loop. I am able to purchase the cx2310 for roughly $75 so thats not that bad, plus like $5 for all xlr/rca converters... How easy is the setup ? I'm trying to achieve a similar scenario to hsu's...
The way my bedroom is layed out, my big closet is located on the left side and its pretty much whole length of the left wall...and I position my sub in the way front so its still basically a front corner load as the closet doors are not really air tight...it sounds the same as if it were out of...
after lots of testing frequencies below 35hz sound the same in my room with that sub in any location including closet, but higher than that is where they start sounding different pending where the sub is located.
well the tempest is hidden in the closet as the box is like 48x20x20, i just want it to play the lowest frequencies since the location isn't the best...i think anything above like 35-40hz it will just boom in its current location.
Is there anyway to split the signal between subs? I have an 8" subwoofer that is flat to about ~27hz, and i want to incorporate an adire tempest 15" to cover the duties below that. How would this setup be possible without buying any expensive equipment? my receiver does have decent bass...
Not a scratch on them. Not even broken in yet. I don't use them as much as I thought I would. I still use my Mirage's alot more often. It consists of a mint pair of Onix XL-S speakers. A pair of Athena As-p300 8" 100 watt sub-woofers. This is a great almost full-range system. I bought the Onix...
Has less then 30hrs on the original bulb. I don't use it at all anymore. I will let it go for $550 shipped. Comes with original box and manual with remote and cables. Here are some pictures: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/benihana/plv4.jpg...
is there anyway you can tell me the values to try to get the filter of 16hz and 18hz with no boost? I tried the sallen-key calculators, but they don't come out right, its hard to use.
definatley look into flexy racks. I've built so many for different things. I built one thats holding 100lbs in amps right now. And i made a coffee table out of the flexy rack idea, and I can stand on it, all 175lbs of me. They are damn strong.
