My parents have an older sony wega television (kv-32fs12) tv is quite adiquate for their needs, however, the skew is off (top left corner shows RGB lines) Any one know the service code so i may make some adjustments?
if you go for polk sub, get the 404 to up the frequency (make up for limited freq resp on those sats.) for best results SVS sub if you can afford it (start at 599, same price as those polks) or check out rava subs, lots of SVS fans like em. btw onkyo recievers love polk.
i pref. the onkyo recievers (strong and reliable) but true the sub is kinda weak. if you want alternative (better value too) check out the ht-ss760. 6.1 stronger amp w/component switching and a much better sub and fronts.
i might be hated for saying this but CHECK OUT ONKYO, specifically tx-sr701. T HX certification, plenty of power (honest 100RMS per channel) 7.1 upgrade(with extra amp :p) 2nd zone built-in! in addition if you do listen to some music they added "pure-audio" enhancement to add some stage...
i was just about to suggest that bob. Onkyo makes an AWESOME reciever. Neutral in sound so match with warm speakers(polk pair up great or sony's ss-mf sound awesome for the money) Great reliability from Onkyo also good cust support.
Go for the 5660 if you can get it at a good price, you'll take advantage of the extra power because they tend to run a little quiet. check out onkyo tx-sr601 if you get the chance. not as warm sounding(notice only on some types of music) but you get better bang for the buck (check out features...
im just throwing out a suggestion here, have you considered any onkyo products? bang for the buck wise they are A/WESOME values, especially ts-sr601 (449-499 RETAIL) you get great sound, s-vid upconversion, 2-zone built in(if ya would use it) some may say it sounds a little flat (more neutral to...
