--I'd say any scene in SALO. This is the only film where I came close to turning it off. Everything from the rape to the murders to the eating of shit seemed all too real.-- I'd have to agree with you. Just saw this film for the first time and it has to have been one of the most disturbing...
--Matt, if you want to get a "taste" of the cannibal genre, Netflix does carry Jungle Holocaust, Eaten Alive, & Cannibal Ferox. Eaten Alive is the best of the 3.-- Actually, most people (including me) happen to think that Eaten Alive is the least of the three. Cannibal Ferox is the least...
Greatest horror film: The Haunting (1963) - The amount of tension this film creates is unbelievable, considering there are really no visual terrors to be found. It was either this, or Night of the Living Dead... but in the end I just to go with this classic. Scariest horror film: Suspiria -...
Great post. I agree wholeheartedly- releasing the first season immediately was the right thing to do. Having no extras on the disc is completely forgiveable, IMO, especially since it's my favorite show of all-time and I was just happy to have the show on DVD at all. The picture quality wasn't...
When I first heard this was coming out, I was overjoyed because it meant I could replace my old DVD with Special Edition. When I saw it was going to be in pan and scan, I thought it was a typo. Now that I see it is not, I will not be picking up this disc, no matter how curious I am about what...
I love this movie and I definitely agree with David Wilkins. They never really went into why he needed the money, at least I don't think, but I believe it was because he was defrauding the dealership.
I'm not a fan of remakes but judging from the trailer and an online review of an audience preview that I read, this looks like it could be great, as long as it doesn't directly copy the original (one of my all-time favorite movies) and adds some unique twists to it. I'll definitely be seeing...
I added another to my list:
Anne Murray
I love anything done by this woman. My favorites are Broken Hearted Me and You Needed Me.
I also agree with Mariah Carey. Hero is my favorite of hers, along with All I Want For Christmas Is You.
I wish someone would do another Name That Scary Movie contest. Having one for all movies is just too hard for me because most of what I watch is horror. I have no idea what any of these are. :frowning:
Although it bugs me that in this new release the colors don't make the film look like it takes place in the fall season, I can get over it. I suppose this is the way the film looked in theaters, and since the quality is better than the past release, I really can't complain and am glad to own it. :)
The Exorcist isn't as scary as I once thought it was, but that is probably because I have become immuned to it because of all the films I have seen since. And I didn't think that The Ring remake was all that scary-- not at all what everyone made it out to be. But both films are very well made...
I was originally planning to watch more movies on Halloween day, but I wasn't feeling too well and was just too tired, almost fell asleep during Suspiria! :frowning: Anyway, this is what I watched: 28. Suspiria 29. Carrie (1976) (my favorite movie of all time) I didn't reach 31, but oh...
Doh! :frowning: That's the only place I know of that I can make a picture on there. Why don't I just give you the link to the picture? :) www.geocities.com/ryanpclark14/horror01.html
