Should I go see Rush tonight?

Every poster that said to stay at home, never went themselves. Hope you went, if you did, I'm sure you're glad you did. 30th Aniverasary concert, pulling out all the stops, if you even kind of liked one of the songs they did it should make this a no-brainer. Hope you didn't miss out.

    Disco didn't suck :)

I was firmly in the "disco sucks" camp in the 70's. Couldn't stand the stuff. Today, it is still hard to listen to, but prefer it to hip-hop and the generic sounding "dance-pop" crap that has filled the airwaves the last 10 years.

The farthest you've travelled to see a band?

Salt Lake City to Los Angelas in '79 to see Neil Young's "Rust Never Sleeps" tour. Three college buddies and a bunch of controlled substances made for an extremely wild time.

Weird. My New Bela Fleck DVD-A is a CD.

I had the exact same problem when I ordered the disc a year or two back from Amazon. I received the redbook that did have the dvd-a logo on it. The real dvd-a does not come in a standard redbook case but in a regular dvd-a case. It was a pain in the ass getting the correct one finally shipped to...

Any Blues fans out there that can suggest some "Must Have" DVD-A / SACD titles?

For Hi-Rez blues I would definitely list the Junior Wells as a must-buy. Sonics are impeccable, the surround mix is great and though it may not be Junior Well's best record, it is still a damn good one and a very fun listen. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with this disc.

    ziggy stardust

Ziggy has always been one of my favorite lps. I was really looking forward to the sacd release and when I first listened to it I was a little disapointed. Partly because I had such high expectations, but mostly because it seemed a little listless. The bass wasn't as punchy as I was hoping and...

Peter Gabriel song used in Project Greenlight 2 / Battle of Shaker Heights?

"When You're Falling" Afro-Celt Sound System Vol.3: Further In Time All three Afro-Celt discs are a fun listen and are highly recommended.

Anybody bought this new chill-out dvd-audio yet?

I have it and it is pretty good. It is however, pretty downbeat/mellow. I would call it ambient/techno. There are some interesting videos and an aggressive surround mix to keep it from getting boring, but I don't think I would enjoy a 2-channel redbook version of this disc, but then I'm not into...

Name some of your favorite album covers

The original "bubble gum" cover of Scorpions' "Lovedrive" still cracks me up.
