Ilkka.....could "subwoofer C" possibly be the Monolith? ;) I agree with Ed 100%, if the tests were conducted in the same procedure, you should name the subs. Who cares about the brand!
WOW!!! I had posted a link to this info on the "SVS owner's thread" on AVS, and it too got deleted....THE WHOLE STINKING THREAD is gone! what a joke.....
This is GREAT work guys!!! :emoji_thumbsup: outstanding Job Ilkka.....now, I would really REALLY like to hear what excuse mr. "high excursion drivers have higher IMD" comes up with!
I think you will be very happy with the PB12-ISD...i've had it and it was very good. this is a good read between the PB12-ISD and the STF-2: w w w.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=190398
yes..calibration is of utmost importance. But keep in mind, War of the Worlds has Reference levels of LFE, so I would suggest you try another DVD that is not so hot in the LFE (such as Revenge of the Sith), just to make sure your calibration is correct. As always, double check with AVIA
I second the Swan 6.2 suggestion....absolutely killer speakers for the price! Different tastes for different people, but I was able to audition many speakers before my purchase around this time last year....axiom M60ti, Rockets 750, Paradigm Studios, B&W704s, etc....I ended up with the swans...
Sorry, but I could not Disagree more! The Plus and Ultra finishes in the SVS will put ANY HSU to shame. Like you, my HT is my craddle, and I wouldn't have any other sub in there other than the PB12-Ultra in Rosewood. Aaron, both SVS and HSU are great subs, and hard to beat. Do a search in...
well put John!! is refreshing to see SVS owners be amicable and open. great change of pace to see, compared to what has been going on over at AVS speaking of killer performance under $600, check out this review of the $429 SVS PB10 and the $1750 Axiom EP600...
Rockets, as well as Swans (my favorites, btw), and folks like SVS, HSU and others are getting all the cabinetry (and even some drivers, etc) from China. the days of "made in China" as a bad thing are long gone (or at least in certain areas).... it is rapidly becoming an economic conglomerate...
I need to get one soon (I'm using my old 27" clunker Sony analog in the meantime)....I had a 53" pioneer RPTV, and I'm ready to go to the next stuff, either an LCD or DLP.
I've done several searches in several forums, and I need you guys' expert and unbiased opinion....I have narrowed it down...
Please post shootouts, comments, opinions, etc....I need advice ASAP...gotta buy it this weekend. Here are some I'm looking at: Infinity ALpha series (maybe 20's, maybe 40's) Paradigm Monitor 5, 7's Rocket RS150's Axioms as for subwoofers: SVS Paradigm PDRs PLEASE reply asap
I don't think it was the DVD per say...we watched Shrek and T2 ultimate edition. The progessive scan DVD player was a very cheap one, but still... I still believe mits is a very good buy, and still considering getting it, but I wonder if the elite 530hd is worth the extra $$$
Hi everyone, My boss and I were in the market to get a RPTV, and he decided to take the plunge and get the mits 65411...I was about to get one as well, but after looking at his, I am holding out a bit longer:rolleyes: The set looked a bit grainy, and this was running on a Progressive DVD...
AFter weeks of research, and looking at many units, side by side, with different inputs (DSS, NTSC, DVD progressive), etc, I have come to the following three: Mitsubishi WS55411 Pioneer PRO-530HD Toshiba 57HDX82 So far, the Mits looks like the top contender, but before I cough up the...
