"class" was on the original DVD, and the reason it was deleted from the film is because it was decided that it broke with the concept of the film, that all the musical numbers are part of roxy's imagination.
I'd just like to point out how many people said this would never happen, and implied I was expecting too much (rudely) earlier in this thread. I'll be picking this up, since I never bought the first release. Always expected an SE would eventually come out. I hope it has fancy packaging.
i too was annoyed by the pooping. i could have lived with the peeing, i mean "what the hell is wrong with german people!", but the poop was too much. For myself I can deal with it, even though it kinda ruins the scene, but it hampers my ability to watch it with certain other people. my mom...
i just wanted to bring up soemthing unrelated here. I re-watched phantom menace, and it wasnt as bad as I remembered it. But what really bothered me was the puppet yoda in the movie. At the time I know they were aiming for a younger version of the OT puppet. I think they succeeded in that, to...
Can I offer a slightly different take? Extended warranties are not ALWAYS a good deal, nor are they always a bad deal. You really must consider it on a case by case basis. I personally would always buy the warranty on a projection TV, because though the chances of a probelm after the 1 year...
I think that would be an excellent choice, and honestly, and the moment I agree that the Primus line is the BEST bang for your buck around right now. In fact, I'd say the speakers are worth twice the price you pay for them, if not more. That said I would take the 160 bookshelves over the same...
I just have no use for eiher format so long as the stupid greddy corporations are enaged in this stupid format war.
Ditto for the impending Blu-ray/hd-dvd battle. Morons running these companies are gonna kill both formats because of greed.
The 150s are marginally better than the E30s, IMO. Have you read the sterophile review? http://stereophile.com/loudspeakerreviews/404infinity/ Personally I think that the entire Infinity Primus line represents about the best "budget" speakers around. And if you ask me, these days budget...
no major plothole, but a very minor one. the plot hole itroduced by 3po is a little bigger. In any case, do you disagree that it would have been better if threepio had belonged to padme, and r3 to obi-wan?
I think that was a mistake. I think Lucas should have given C3P0 to amidala, a queen would have a reason to own a portocol droid. And he should have placed R2 as obi-wans buddy, rather than anakins. It would create less of a plot hole (however minor), and it would make obi-wans declaration...
well if this thread has done one thing for me, it this. proven that I was right. The expanded universe is silly, and best ignored, at least as far it fitting with the films in any way. If lucas ever makes ep7-9, i do hope he completely ignores any of this so called continuity established in...
am i the only one that cringes whenever the so called expanded universe comes up? i have never read any of them, but i can honestly say that what i know of their content, i fibnd mostly insulting. Palaptine continuously returning as a clone? a cloned luke? dreck i tell you.
Sure their are. But the problem is most of them seem forgotten by the time ROTS starts, and it is as though we are starting all over. Also, all of those seeds point to someone who is angry and impulsive, but not necessarily bad. There needed to be something really big to push him over the edge...
I have to say it again, I WILL NEVER understand why everyone hates Jedi. Never. I just plain don't get it. It has always been my favourite of the original trilogy, and always will be. My rankings for the films as of today are 1.) Return of the Jedi 2.) TIE between ANH and ESB 3.) Revenge...
I may be wrong, but the impression I got from the final scenes of ROTS is that they are a montage of events spanning the next twenty years, in order the bridge thee gap between ROTS and a ANH. But I will have the see the movie a second time to be sure.
this is an old thread, but it cant hurt to offer a second to john's adivce. the 360's and the 160's are the stars of the line, and would certainly take the 160 bookshelfs over the 250 towers. in fact, i did.
Could someone offer a summary of the episode, and an explantion to this casual enterprise watcher? The only star trek show I was ever a true fan of was TNG, and I think I came into thos final enteprise episode blind. I just didnt get why riker and troi were there, and so on (though it was cool...
Am I the only one completely irritated by the fact that we have trailer tacked on before the menus on a so called special edition? I don't like this trend at all. Put the damn things in the menus, and I'll watch them if I feel like it. I LIKE trailer in the theatres, where they are...
I'm not so sure that's accurate. As I understand it, the movie "Return of Jafar" was assembled from several episodes of the saturday morning cartoon.... Dan Castelenatta would have been the voice from the start....
got my set today. never noticed any flipped violins. if it true, its obviously too sublte for me to care. decided tonight that despite a couple of aggrivating moments, the sloppy edit in the greedo scene (imporved, but still sloppy), and the jedi rocks number, which would be fine if the...
i just wanna know why they didnt fix black r2 in space for ANH. I mean seriously, of all the things they fixed, like the language the tractor beam is labelled with, they cant make R2 blue. Geez.
Big Lebowski is one of my all time favourites, and while this doesn't reach the same level for me, I still very much enjoyed it. Great characters, a superb performance by Hanks, beautiful porduction design, smartly chosen soundtrack. It's a great film. The critics were insane.
sounds like regular cds to me, which is ok as far as im concerned since i was planning to buy the sountracks for the first time a while ago. now i will just wait for these new versions.
i disagree entirely, robert. you are correct about the blacks, they are lacking, but IMO, not anymore than a standard LCD projo. On the other hand the colour accuracy on the theatre pro mode is far better than the other sets. I'm not sure if i would buy once this generation, i'd like to see the...
the problem with this movie is that it lacks any kind of believabilty, and it gets bogged down big time in its second half. more time should have been spend exploring the way the relationship builds, I am surprise no one else has mentioned this. they meet, and in the next scene they are in love...
having seen these TV's side by side, it is clear to me than the DILA offers much better colour accuracy, and it's also a nicer looking set, IMO. JVC's theater pro mode really is very close to 6500k. On the other hand a DLP does offer better contrast and purer black, no question about that. I...
i dont like any of the proposed replacements as bond. I realluy think the producers have their heads of their asses if they think that a younger bond is necessary or even preferable. What they need is better writing, less action, more spying.
