I'm with you on the Bravo D1... mine opens and closes so fast you have to be Quickdraw McGraw to get your disk in and out! That's why I'm following this thread, to find one with the superior picture of the Bravo without performing the loader olympics every night. Thanks for all the input...
Your welcome Ben, and I'm envious of your DVD collection! Rememember, any new stuff that you add to your system will be more upto date than mine but the DVD's I add will be as old as yours.... huh? sorry, I'm in the middle of a server upgrade and there's 4 cd's to go.... keep the coffee coming!
If large crowds aren't your thing, then Rob and Lori's was the place to be last night! We had a great BBQ (did I mention that I was the chef) :).We then put the Bravo DVD with 720p up against the Pany and compared pictures for a purely subjective test. The Bravo won with brighter, better colors...
OK, I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday... So we're on for Sunday the 11th at Rob's house, say 4:30ish and I'll cook up some ribs and corn on the cob. And I'll PM Jeremy Ben Tommy with my directions and if anyone else want's to jump in, go ahead. Rob :)
ok... hows about 4pm'ish at Robs on Sunday the 11th for a BBQ and gettogether and over to The Basement Bijou on the 16, 17th? With Ben's contribution, it'll be like a Seattle Film Festival! A change in careers for Jeremy huh? We're still open for more guests... jump in! :)

Tommy, is your drywall dry yet? If not, I'm ready to host 'the Seattle meet'. I'll throw out July 9,10,11 or 12. for starters and we'll see which date works the best for the most. We hope all the regulars can come and a whole bunch of new ones! Rob :)
I havn't dove into digital photography as of yet... but with the prices now a days.. no reason not to start. I'll see what I can do. We do host MNF and it's a blast every week. The hi-rez is everything I hoped for and more!
Tommy, can you hear me? Tommy, can you see me? I don't think soooo. Are my tickets still good? Is the popcorn stale? My theater is getting closer to completion and now up and running...
JeremyFr - we could start a "non-standard workweek hometheatre meet" forum... actually it seems that more people then not, work crazy times. Think of the money you'll save by not having a 'night life' ! :) Rob.
My bet is a 'bad solder joint'. Looking at the bottom of the circuit board, you'll probably see a 'black ring' around a lead from a component over near the flyback transformer. I used to just scrub the area with rubbing alcohol, gently scrape the varvish off the tracings and lead and resolder...
Lori and I had a good time also... I learned that I need sooooooooooooo many more dvd's and I want to find those neat demos. and... I forgot to have James's desert! I stopped at WalMart on the way home to get my mandatory copy of Hell Frrezes Over, but I couldn't find one. Thanks guys, Rob.
My wife and I would like to come... I'm a fireman, so it's hit and miss when I'm off. Set it up with the majority and I'll see what I can do. Thanks, Rob.
Chris, coincidently I had just gone into the Bellevue Definitive a couple of days ago. They do have a LARGE Runco in a 300K setup. The picture was, in fact, beautiful! I was also able to see more DLP's. The ones I've only read about. The salesman was very knowledgeable and didn't steer me one...
Roger, your logical answer hit me like the slap of a cheap after-shave in the AM! I originally did like the InFocus 7200 because of the built-in chip by Faraudja and contrast gain because of the 12degrees, but after cruising the forums here and looking for, and finding problems I must have...
I have a request... I'm trying to decide between pursuing a used CRT or InFocus 7300 DLP. My problem is that I've not been able to find a CRT set up at a retail store in the Seattle area eg. Magnolia HIFI etc... that I can actually see what the experts all say is a superior picture. Is there...
I'm really going to have to want it! The closest Homasite dealer is in Oregon! Sound Panels? are these free standing? or attached to the walls? And Maine is out of the question for fabric!:D
