The original soundtrack element was mono, was it not?
Regardless of that, if a soundtrack on a disc is 2.0, there are only 2 tracks, period. Left and right. There aren't other tracks to bleed into.
So I'm seeing some conflicting information on the bonus material:
"All of the extras that Criterion included on its own release have been ported over to Kino’s edition. An archival commentary track by John Frankenheimer covers nearly every aspect of the production, and most notably the...
While mono was primary at the time, the rest is not true. The stereo mixes were all done with George Martin present, despite his claims to the contrary later. In fact, most of Please Please Me was "mixed" simultaneously to mono and stereo using the delta mono function on the REDD desk, while for...
I thought the lesson was buy when there are Criterion sales.
B&N and Amazon were both $29.99, so Amazon is no cheaper. Yes, shipping is included with Prime, but...you have to have Prime. And B&N ships free over $35 anyway.
FYI for me:
- Ordered on 11/1, along with 4 other in-stock Criterion titles.
- In-stock titles shipped 11/2, delivered 11/4.
- Kane shipped 11/19, delivered 11/26.
Return no longer necessary:
The below instructions have been updated since they were originally shared on November 22, 2021:
If you would like to exchange your disc, you now have two options:
1. Break or cut the disc in half. Then take a photo of the unplayable disc, with your name and the...
I could have sworn there was more discussion about this that I'm not seeing now. Perhaps it was in another thread?
Whatever the case, the price went up to $49.99 shortly after I ordered on September 27th. On October 13th I got a message indicating it was backordered, but I just got a shipping...
Yes. It very quickly went up to $49.99:

I got this message a few days ago:
"Hello,
Thank you for your order of Back to the Future Trilogy on 4K! We are excited to get this item to you as fast as possible, but due to an overwhelming response to the...
Advice? Ditch the Wolverine. It looks terrible compared to the Canon. Dynamic range is awful, the sharpness isn't as good, and the colors aren't as good. Highlights are blown out and shadows are a mess. You can tweak and tweak and tweak, but the result will still be noticeably worse than the Canon.
As far as how the CD layer sounds - some songs are better than the old London CDs, some are about the same, and some are a tad worse. I've got a review of the sampler CD here:

Another note, not in the review (yet) - Honky Tonk Women is slightly...
The reason I got for that one was "it wasn't on the original LP". I guess they figured it wasn't "necessary" to put it on.
Also, it has been noted that La-La-La-Lies has some missing backing vocals in stereo. Not clear why they didn't issue the mono mix of this one as well.
Keep in mind the Stones discs are NOT being marketed as SACD discs - that's kind of a "hidden" bonus.
I've got some comments about the sampler disc on my website:

I've done more than just that...:)
Let's see...my "personal copy" is speed corrected, balance corrected (where necessary) has various glitches fixed/removed, has some missing dialog inserted from the official releases, etc...
I couldn't tell you the last time I listened to my original copy...
Let me just jump in here...
If any of you know me, you'll know I pretty much can't stand any of the official releases of Live At Leeds:
original - only a fraction of the show, plus several edits in the songs that did make it
1995 remix - more of the show, but things are still edited, plus...
