I just read that the DVD of 'Friends' (the 3 first seasons - Region 1) has French subtitles. I've been fooled before so I'm a bit suspicious. Can anyone confirm this to me? Thanks a lot :)

Hey Robert, I've heard a rumor about the release of the first season of Roswell on DVD (Region 2). But I can't confirm this. About Ally McBeal, I bought the first season and the 4th one on DVD. It's also region 2 though. If your DVD player can play other regions, you can order if at Amazon.fr

Hey Brett, I just bought the DVD and played it right away to answer your question. Unfortunately I wasn't able to remove the French subtitles. I tried both ways, from the menu bar (but the only options you have is either French or English with French subtitles) and then I tried to remove them...

Hi! I just bought in Paris the Region 2 DVD of 'The West Wing'. It was an import from the UK. So it's the first half of the 1st season (episode 1 to 11). On the jacket it said that it was in English with English and French subtitles. But when I played the discs it doesn't mention the French...

Hi Brett! About Scream, I have the Film Office edition here and I just played it. Unfortunately the French subtitles are not removable on the DTS track. The audio commentary of Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson has also French subtitles non removable. Hope I could help out :)
