Well I pick one up over the weekend for $449.00 I'll be hooing it up in the next couple days. Let you know what I think.

To bad they have the info wrong about the optical outputs. Make me wonder what else they got wrong. I guess I will get one and return it if it does not pass HDMI audio as I have read in many reviews.

I'm not getting anyware on finding info on the Sony STR-DG1200 I'm thinking about getting this model for the fact that it has a phono input and a optical out. But I heard it it does not pass audio over HDMI. Anyone have this and care to comment please? Thanks

Any word on a dvd of this? I know the negs. are long gone from what I hear. I just watched my LaserDisc of this and would like something a little better. Also any news about How the West Was Won? Roger

The region 1 disc the old one and the new one are only 5.0 back cover says 5.1 but it is wrong they should have fixed this when it was re-packaged. Roger

The Alamo is not the full roadshow it is the cut version I'm glad I did not sell my laserdisc boxset.Same with Mad Mad World what a crappy DVD that was. :thumbsdown:MGM Roger

The only thing good about the dvd the extras I'm glad I still have the laser disc box set as it is a longer cut of the film still not the full film but almost.Why did they redo the title credits with all red background? It should be multi-colored. In short the dvd sucks. Roger
