When i saw it at the Cinemark.
It just looked beautiful.
There was nary a scratch or grain!.
:emoji_thumbsup: for Cinemark.
And the sound was pretty good. Dolby EX.
I dont feel that D-VHS is a threat to DVD. A reason why i never brought Laserdisc was because it didn´t apply to me. Too expensive. DVD has perfect apply to me. An easy reason why D-VHS is not a threat is: the price. But remember, what the studios were saying that DVD was going to be...
Also does anyone agree with me that 1500 is WAY too expensive for a Tape-Deck?!. I mean at least 500 dollars is a more reasonable price. BUT 1500?!!!!!. And the tapes: 35-50 dollars?!!!!!!!. I am a Home Theater enthuiast. But that is way too much money. Also why did studios chose...
What Dharmesh said was right. As much as you keep your tape it will wear out. I have my original Star Wars tapes on a plastic box and i have barely played them. Now they are all screwed up. If there is a reason why i support DVHS, is because is an HD format. Nothing else. As easy...
Rob, Rob, Rob, Rob, Rob. Just because i don´t want to buy something that you support does not mean that you need to have that attitude towards me. The reason why i won´t buy DVHS is because is not my type. Also it dosen´t suit to what i like. Also because i know that another format is...
Ok here is my review:
THE LORD OF THE RINGS:THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING. :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: out of :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
I was not one of those kids who used to read a lot.
I mostly readed artsy books like Moby-Dick and loved them.
So because of that i was never...
Well the DTS track on "The Rock" Criterion sounds less dynamic than the DD.
Here is a list of DTS tracks and their difference.
TITAN A.E.: 3 db difference
CHICKEN RUN: 3 db difference
APOLLO 13 6 db difference (rented the DD version)
THE LOST WORLD 3 db difference (rented DD version)...
Hmm. Perhaps.
Knowing New Line they come up with the best transfers.
Another problem is that the DTS track well might not be superior to the Dolby.
Not that i want it to be, but i have heard many DTS tracks that sound the same or worse than their Dolby couterparts.
I don´t think any...
Anyways.
The scenes sound interesting.
I was glad to see this one on a Cinemark at the ends of January alone in the Screening Room. It helped the film to be more spiritual.
The Dolby Digital was very good. But i am sure that the DTS ES will beat it to death ( :D )
Ok according to the New Line site.
The 4 disc set will include a DTS track.
go to www.lordoftherings.net and you will see.
But my potential fear is that with 4 audio commentaries and 3 audio tracks (2 5.1 and 1 2.0) is that the transfer will look like crap.
But Frequency and the Ultimate...
Guys sorry for dropping a little ice on your party.
But the DTS ES thing has not been confirmed yet.
At least by New Line.
If the 4 disc set dosent have DTS then i will buy the 2 disc set.
Because i dont care much about features.
Is all about the film...
Bjoren, are you sure there is no edge ehancment in Remember the Titans?. I noticed some, but it was so small that it was almost unnoticeable!. Same with The Fast and the Furious.
Wow David! You totally shutted me up!!!!!!!!!. But i will still get the 2 disc set. At least for me the changes didn´t affect much the film. I am not blaming Spielberg, Spielberg´s original intentions were to release a 3 disc set with the original and new versions and with extra...
This is interesting.
The Royal Tenenbaums Criterion/Buena Vista DVD will have a DTS track.
Wow, i can´t wait to hear "Everyone" on DTS. :emoji_thumbsup:
Ok, i don´t mean to put ice on the heat of your party, but aren´t you all guys acting like JSP´s?.
First you complain that people don´t want to see the film in their OAR.
And now you complain that you don´t want to see the director´s intentions on his film???!!!!!!.
Ahhhhh, irony i love it. :D
My favorite scene is after the battle against the Demon.
When Frodo yells, a name. I wont mention because it will be a very big spoiler.
I think there is a lot spirituality in that scene both in the music and everything. :emoji_thumbsup:
Ok now let me see if i understood. There will be 2 versions. One will be a collector´s edition with both versions the 1982 and 2002. And the other will be a super-duper deluxe box set with script, CD, etc.
