Kudos for the Cowboy love.
Back to The Amazing Race Asia, I've watched most of those seasons, which thankfully are in English. I've also seen all the other versions, which have been harder to follow, given that they have followed the native languages in Israel, Brazil, and Latin America...
As someone who lives in Chicago and was very thankful that we did NOT get the 2016 Olympics, I can relate to the negativity, false economic projections, and high costs.
That said... I do enjoy the Olympics, but it's become way to big of a cost burden with so much overhead that it's just not...
It's interesting that Zorro was not originally shot in color, given how earlier "adventure" stuff from Disney like Davy Crockett was, namely with the idea of repurposing it later in film.
It's interesting that Zorro was shot in B/W, while just a few years earlier, Disney shot Davy Crockett in color for the anthology series, even though it was originally broadcast in B/W. You have to wonder why Zorro wasn't shot that way as well... other than for obvious cost savings.
If you watch the Elimination Station segments on CBS.com interesting task they did there. They decided to put the men vs. women in a boat race, with the type of boats that are completely round baskets.
I had to crack up at all the comments about "how do we do this" and "they should have this...
Bumping up this topic with the latest update from UltimateDisney.com on Wave 9:
Cover art here It's an interesting move. Just one series really, but heavy emphasis on that title. Sort of a cop-out for a Treasures release.
As far as "this thread being quiet" during the season, could it be that other avenues are being used to discuss 24. For example, I know that while the show is actually playing, over on Twitter the #24 hashtag is very busy, with updates coming non-stop as the show progresses. It's more "real...
OK, here's what I don't get about this episode. Meredith states that she's been sleeping with the rep from Hammermill for the past 6 years to get discounts on "office supplies". Later, she also refers to them as providing paper. However, in Season 3's The Convention, it's noted that...
I very much enjoyed this series, mainly because of all the NASA footage that really hadn't been seen before. I didn't think the editing was too quick or distracting. It was well-produced... I just wish it was longer!
For example, you can purchase Blong Black ("Ball bubble gum with red fruits flavour. Paints black the mouth") and Blong Blue ("Ball bubble gum with strawberry flavour. Paints blue the mouth") Now doesn't that knowledge make your Race-watching experience that much better?
I never really followed the original series, but did some homework prior to seeing the theatrical version. I was more intrigued by the visual design heading into the showing, and seeing the bad RT numbers, didn't have high expectations. I liked the film quite a bit. You could have chopped out...
Destino was initially slated to be released as part of Walt Disney's Legacy Collection: But after the 4 True-Life Adventures sets rolled out, Disney sort of pulled the plug on the promised future releases. 2 of those were released last year as part of Treasures Wave 7 (Disneyland Secrets...
Interestingly, it seems that the US Version of Silly Symphonies was edited differently than the UK Region 2 Version. There were four edited versions of the Three Little Pigs. These included (1) the original uncensored short, (2) the short censored with the animation changed regarding the Big...
Yeah, Oswald does have a very high number. My gut is that since they got the character back, we'll probably see that set repurposed in many retail outlets throughout the Disney empire.
Alright, boys and girls, Wave 7 arrived yesterday. What are your thoughts? I picked up all 3 sets, but haven't had a chance to really go through them with any depth. I have been impressed, however, with the new soundtracks done for the Oswald cartoons. Very enjoyable! :)
So what's the big difference between The Bourne Ultimatum SE (Best Buy) and The Bourne Ultimatum DE (Target) and why would I get these over the standard version? Is there extra content that is really worth it?
You got the correct replacements. Original threads on the topic: True-Life Adventures - Color Issue on "Prowler of the Everglades" True-Life Adventures - Aspect Ratio Issue on "Secrets of Life"
I know I'm supposed to like the animated releases better, but I've actually enjoyed the live-action better... probably more for the historical nature and a glimpse of what Disney production was within that timeframe.
Anyone else have any disc dates to share? I've seen the following dates on a couple forums... 10/23/2006 - Pan-and-Scan 10/24/2006 - Pan-and-Scan 10/26/2006 - Pan-and-Scan 10/28/2006 - Pan-and-Scan 10/30/2006 - Pan-and-Scan Interestingly, some who have the "correct" pressing don't even...
