    I doubt it, the Panasonic 51" DLP model has a $12,999 MSRP, and has a street price of around $8,000. There were more new DLP models released at the CES this year, but I doubt if the prices will come down that rapidly. You can find the new Pioneer SD-533HD5 for under $3,000 if you shop...

    I've had mine for 2 weeks now, and I'm thrilled with it. It is a little pricier than some of the others, but I feel it's worth it. Particularly if you are forced to watch a lot of regular cable programming, Pioneer's "Natural Wide" stretch mode is the best I found.
