This TV was purchased new Jan.,1999. It was Toshiba's top of the line 36" analog TV that year. Purchase price new was 1599. The TV has seen very light use since Oct. of 2001 when I purchased a RPTV for my theater. The TV comes with the owner's manual and remote. I don't have the box the set came...
I just ordered a copy from CircuitCity.com for 13.99. I've been looking at their site every day for the past week and today was the first day it showed in stock.
Wasn't Moondance announced for release on DVD-A a year or two ago? Anyone know what's going on? I would snatch this title up in a second if it were to be released on DVD-A.
Thanks Keith and Larry for the heads up on this title. This is on my to buy list and I probably would have got the "wrong" one since the novelty of multichannel has worn off for me.
What if Crest is the manufacturer for Universal's upcoming DVDA's. Are you still going to buy them? If you do that would hardly be hitting Crest in the pocketbook.
The 30HF83 is in today's American TV Sunday Ad. It's 1188.00 with 2 year 0% interest financing available. American TV is located in the Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison area. I sure would like to put one of these in my bedroom.
How do you know Crest isn't pressing the upcoming Universal DVD-A's? They also press DVD's at their plant. Due to recent history, one would assume that Crest will be the manufacturer for all the upcoming Universal SACD's. Does anyone here know for sure that is indeed the case? If so, you can...
The first version is a stereo only SACD. The second version has a multichannel layer added. If your not into multichannel, get the first version for the bonus tracks.
I guess I need to elaborate. I'm not looking for a dry History channel type documentary on the 70's either. My point is that there are plenty of funny people to comment that actually lived through the 70's. It would be far more genuine to me that way.
I agree with your point about commentary from people not even born yet. A lot of the comments came from people in their 20's and 30's. WTF do they know about the 70's. I think Hal Sparks was still crapping his pants during the 70's.
The way I understand the copyright laws I can make a copy for my own use. I don't believe selling the original CD that I purchased is illegal. Now if I were to sell the copy that's another story. I still would like to know the answer to my question.
OK, I hearby nominate myself for stupid question of the day but I have to ask. When copying a redbook CD using Roxio CD copier software. Is the copy or CD-R an exact bit for bit digital copy that will sound exactly the same as the original. Greg
The constant SACD vs. DVD-A, DSD vs. PCM debate on this forum has become tiring, tedious and quite frankly boring. My enjoyment of logging on here to learn about music and new hi-rez releases has reduced exponentially. I ask this one question to all. Isn't this hobby supposed to be about the...
I was speaking of the mastering process which results in a great sounding product. Not the manufacturing process. I own 2 titles from Crest which have developed small cracks. So I'm very unhappy about the situation also.
I for one would be quite happy if SACD and DVD Audio remain niche formats for years to come. The second these two formats become mainstream you can kiss quality goodbye. If these formats were to go mainstream there wouldn't be the meticulous engineering effort put into a title to achieve the...
Two weeks ago I paid 32.00 for an MFSL CD of Yellow Brick Road on Ebay. This is truly great news. Seeing YBR is on the Island label, maybe just maybe some U2 SACD's are coming. Greg
