A better room would be first on my wishlist, and then some added speakers. A second sub would be nice too. Winning a receiver would be an awesome start though.
My ideal Atmos setup would be in a better room than what I currently use now, with more speakers (Ascends at the moment, I would stick with them), and a second sub. Winning this receiver would be a big jump-start on Atmos.
I was holding my breath, but Howie did it :) I talked to a couple of friends of mine after the show. The girlfriend of one thought he was nuts after he did a dance and a yell. The other hurt himself jumping up from the couch for Howie's win. And poor Rachel, stuck in isolation with...
I really hate the double dip, but it's a good price (and includes a Sin City shot glass if they aren't out by the time I get there). I saw this twice in the theater and I'm sure I'll watch it a few more times before Xmas.
John, for measurements on screen size, distance, ect. check out the placement calculator at the link below. That should give you an idea. The general recommendation for seating distance is 2x screen width, but it could be more or less for you. I just picked one up Wednesday and won't be able...
Michael, thanks for the tip on the 7700, but isn't the MSRP something like $3,200 US? I found it on one Canadian site so far, but for nearly double a Z3. I've been trying to decide between Infocus 4805/Optoma H31 or Sanyo Z3/Panasonic AE700, with about one month left to decide. Paul, sorry...
I played my first couple of hours last night (XBox). This is the first MC game I've played and I'm happy with the purchase. Hopefully have time to get it online soon.
Mine have been pretty good so far: Vol. 1: two movies had skips, 1 on 1, 2 on the other, both short 1-2 seconds though Vol. 2: no problems Vol. 3: no problems
My first was Ronin, about 3 months before I could afford a player (buying the movie was incentive to save). A friend of mine was the first in the group to buy a player, the Panny 120. We compared VHS and DVD Fifth Element and that did it. Neither of us could afford the whole setup. He...
Curt, I don't know if this will help or not, but there is a thread at AVS about people willing to demo their projectors for those looking at buying. One guy on there has gathered all the info and made it searchable at http://www.projectordemos.com/ Maybe there is someone close to you with...
Doug, here are my updated games for the list: XBL Tag: Big Bucket HTF Tag: Duane_T Country: Canada Games: ESPN NHL Hockey Castle Wolfenstein Crimson Skies
I don't mean to hijack the thread but I have a related question: I have a Marantz RC2000 remote. In the manual it says "use only alkaline or lithium batteries". Would NIMH be a problem with it?
I finally saw it last night - wow! I had a grin on my face for so much of the movie, especially the little things. I've got a few friends who haven't seen it yet, gonna have to go again. Is anyone on here buying X-titles now? Who's in which mag now? I thought I heard something about Marvel...
The fee never bothered me - I have XBL already and heard about the fee quite a while ago. Really, two less fast food trips a month - no big deal. I'll pay until I get bored with it. As for the extra fees, MS made it pretty clear from the start that some games would require it. Some I will pay...
Well, I don't know what I can add after Romier's post. I bought it blind and loved it. I guess I would call it scary, mainly because of the tension that it builds. And I loved the ending. I would have to say this is the best 'scary/suspense/horror' flick I've seen since Session 9.
"This adapter will be available on-line only on 3/25, launch date of PSO" What if we are interested, but our stores are slow getting the game in? That's fairly regular around here. I don't know if I'd use the KB but it would seem kind of strange without it (ah, missing my DC).
