TARTAN NTSC 5.1 is a legitimate version from the UK. I thought they went OOP a long time ago. That is my favorite version (theatrical) STARMAX dts is my favorite Director's cut. I am NTSC based, other people will swear by the Tartan PAL Director's tin.
There were no positive reviews of the movie until the HK DVD came out. Search everywhere and people were putting it down or using the first movie as a big yard stick. Forget that Kinji had a few percent involvement in the actual direction of the movie. Forget this anti-american sentiment...
I don't see an R0 in the future unless Tartan (UK) decide to do an NTSC R0 like they did for the first movie. No rights were sold to the U.S. and they pretty much split up the rest of the world selling rights left and right (Russia etc etc)
I have a sealed copy of Finding Nemo (I think there is a CD-ROM game attached to it as well). Only a few had the game attached. $17 shipped to Canada. I am on the good trader/sellers list on the first post above. If you're down send me an e-mail to [email protected] Also: You...
I thought they were being divested - sold off around this time. If that's still the case, and it was in the quarterly stock report, I bet they are busy figuring out the business end.
I leave my 25-31PC+ stock. I have played with 16 and 20 with the blockers, but I need all the "upper" bass I can get. So I am happy with the 25 tuning. In fact, having it tuned at 25 doesn't mean there is a hard cut-off. I can hear/feel as low as the AVIA disc goes (18 or 20?).
Sucks doesn't it? This is one thread that pops up in forums once in a while. 1) They don't have a website (or if they do it's looked in some german vault somewhere) 2) Try searching places like Diabolik... or websites like Sex Gore Mutants, who always lists their new releases in their news...
Where else in the world can you get off a plane and have Coca tea served to you. Being that high up makes me nauseous... Funny to see a stocky Bolivian smoking a cigarette and riding his bike up a hill effortlessly, while the Americans have a hard time breathing... Great Story!
Can you tilt the front speakers down a little bit so it's in a line to your ear (while sitting down)? I put my center speaker behind my fronts, but you don't have that options since they are mounted on the wall behind your TV. I also want your HDTV. :D
My Athena's are what I consider bright. I think they are the AS-2's. They are very full sounding but have more presence than other speakers I've had. Hope this helps.
Ummph Box UGLY Cylinder PRETTY! Ugghh Really, my cylinder complements everything else in my room. I think a low riding box would just be too ugly for me.
I am going to move mine into an open location this week and see what I get. I have plenty of headroom on the PC+. .................!.....! .................!.....! .................!.....! .................!.....! +----------------+.....+------------------------ !##....TV........NN...
Because of my room, the lowest of bass attenutates noticeable when you are > 12-15' away from the sub at my normal listening levels. I tried it < 3 ft when I first got it, but that almost knocked me out. So now it's 3 - 5' away from the prime listening spot. However, there is so much power...
w/o reading through this thread. 1. Left and Right Speaker 2. Sub 3. Rears 4. Center I put center last, because I can eliminate the center speaker on my amp and have it sent to the L and R's and usually it sounds better that way. The center is only important to me for listeners...
25-31PC+ at 2.5 ticks, amp sub out = -5db to 0db. -5db is probably +1db hotter than the other speakers. with 0db on the amp, the whole place is rockin very L O U D.
Thanks steve_nn for the corrected SPL post. I ran the test tones and heard the "pops" between the tracks. Didn't like that much. I'll see if there is a way to fix that. Maybe run all the tones together as one track.
Oh yeah. I first tried punching a hole at 9' up the wall and to drop down the wire (with a 9 Volt Battery attached to weight it down for gravity to take it's job). However, it was stuffed with insulation :frowning: Thus, I had to do the cutting route.
A while back, my only choice was to take a one handed saw and split the drywall down the middle from 9' up the wall do the ground. Put the wire with appropriate conduit for protection and stuffed it in the wall. Sanded and taped the wall back up. Nice slathering and feathering of joint...
I think I can agree mostly with the above post. Chris, looking at your room size and what you had before (similar to my situation). The 25-31PC+ will certainly rock your space. The amp is capable of spitting out over 500 Watts of power. Even with all 3 ports open, I think I get readings a bit...
I had a small JBL 10" Sub came with a satellite system years ago. I really enjoy the 25-31PC+. I think I need to place with placement a bit now. The attenuation of the low frequencies (20Hz-60Hz) is apparant when you start getting about 15' away from the sub when playing movies. However...
Also, it provides PLENTY of power. With the sub amp at 40% it gives me about 100db with the other channels at 85db. I also was using a Rane EQ with it and decided the stock tune is perfect.
