Which TV to get for < $1200 and where to buy online?

I bought the Panasonic 47WX53 at Fry's over the 4th. So far I have disabled SVM, performed basic calibration with Avia/VE, and converged the set (multiple times). The picture looks good but still a little soft. Any suggestion on further setup instruction. Thanks!

    Moderately priced receiver suggestions?

I would consider Onkyo. I have been pleased with my current unit and their low end receiver is just higher than your range (You can find it for $299.) It is the Onkyo TX-SR501. It has some nice features as well for the price. You can read out it at http://www.onkyousa.com

"Squeeze trick" on 4:3 HDTVs ??

I know the Sony 4:3 Wega HDTV has a 16:9 compression feature built into the set. Thus it will automatically do the squeeze without having to manually override settings in a service menu. You can check out the sony web site for the specs.
