I was interested to read this as I too am a big Argento fan and couldn't resist this. like yourselves I'm not put off by grain in a film but what bothered me a bit in this is that the grain seems to be heavier, almost like a band, across the middle of the film. Anyone else feel this?

Ah..no..Thats the BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF (brilliant by the way!). This is a film by Neil Jordan and adapted from Angela Carter's work. Its a weird adult fairy-tale, symbolic imagery, type thing...with werewolves!

Now this might not be that exciting to a lot of you but, here in the UK, I was on PLAY's Site and they have listed THE COMPANY OF WOLVES to come out on Blu-Ray on October 15th! I love this wee film and the visual look is perfect for Hi-Def . Anyone know any details about this?

Is it true that Ridley Scott's LEGEND is coming to HD-DVD? For all its faults, this remains one of my favourite movies as the visual style is sensational (and Tim Curry's performance!) HD would be a great format for a visual film like this. If its true, wonder what version it'll be.

Apologies if this is a blatently obvious question but as I'm about to buy a UK HD-DVD player, I just wanted to check something. I know that the HD-DVDs have no regional restrictions on them, unlike BLU-RAY, but i wanted to know about the combo discs that come out in the US. As they are combined...

Can anyone help me out with a bit of info.The new R1 version of BEDAZZLED with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, does it really have a stero soundtrack? The version on R2 in the UK is just mono. Love this wee film!!

..Yes but the film has Diana Rigg in it and her performance makes up for any bad points. As far as Hen's Tooth's Company of Wolves, wasn't it full frame?

Seems a bit of a shame that, in these days of Internet buying, the Classic Media Site don't seem to be selling their Godzilla dvds internationally. So its a bit of a slap in the face to UK Godzilla fans, unless we can find them on Ebay.

I read a review somewhere that said all of the films in the new set had 5.1 mixes. Can someone confirm for me that EXORCIST II THE HERETIC has a 5.1 mix? That would be new as its always been mono everywhere before.

Thing is though that the listing now states its 'LB Cinemascope' and not 'squeeze' like Mark mentions. I'd have thought that meant it wasn't anamorphic. I'll try and ask CD Japan, I just wondered if anyone had bought it that could supply first hand info.

Thought I'd bump this thread back up to ask if anyone had got the Japanese DVD yet. Is it anamorphic?
