I had the same problem. I have only tested it on a Pioneer player so far. The DVD was bought from a US retailer.

Another non-anamorphic from CTS is Velocity Trap. There are also a few number of non-OAR DVDs, presented in full-frame or pan and scan only.

I'm all for it. It's one of my favorites.
