How many watts can I realistically pad on a driver? I assume it depends on the power ratings of the resistors involved but I dont know enough about the circuit design to calculate the max power it could handle.
The UCLA AES's project for this year is a pair of outdoor PA speakers. I have been doing some research but have not been too succesful in finding the info I need. I really like the Eminence Delta-15 LFA driver but dont know what tweeter to match with it. I was looking at some horn tweeters...
I believe the mp3 feature on the HK receivers requires an extra piece of hardware the you hookup to your computer so that it will send an mp3 digital stream to your receiver. Most soundcards now DO come with spdif outputs (all soundblaster live! models)so you can you that to send a decoded...
Jeff H, I suggest you visit http://www.trollhunters.com if you haven't already. If your trade fails, at least you can add this guys name to their blacklist so that nobody will trade with him ever again. BTW, you shipped something to this guy so do you know where he lives?

* Surround Sound DSP ICs: 24-Bit Crystal Semiconductor
* Stereo Power: 80 Watts per Channel (FTC...
I just bought a sony dvp-ns500v DVD player. I was playing a DVD (Run Lola Run) of my cousins that was pretty badly damaged. This DVD plays fine in my rommates DVD player but skips like crazy once I hit chapter 20 on either widescreen or p&s. Im hoping my new player is just not as good as...
Wow, finally fixed my hum problem! I always knew it was from the cable television but never knew what to do to solve it, I would just unplug the cable when watching a dvd. I tried what Legairre recommended and wired the cable outlet to the receiver and the receiver to the vcr. Got rid of all...
What is the advantage of using a pre/pro and power amp versus using a receiver such as the hk avr320 and a power amp (using the preouts from the receiver)? It seems to me that this would be much more affordable.

I have come down to 2 choices for a receiver: HK AVR 320 and Denon 1802. Im leaning towards the HK so far because it has 7.1 processing which I can use later on if I buy an amp. Anyone have any reasons to pick one over the other? Thanks
