I am thoroughly enjoying the series. I bought each episode one disc at a time as apposed to buying the boxed sets. Did I miss any extras by collecting the series this way?
Wait a minute now I'm perplexed. Which is it, bukkake or kabuki? Let's see here - exaggerated performances in front of people, lots of screaming, white all over the face. (In Steven Wright's voice) I'm so confused. :D
Mark, why don't you post this "is this going to far" question in the polls area and see what sort of tally you end up with. I bet a majority would support your going undercover with the business cards.
As I read through Mark's posts, the music to Mission Impossible (TV version) rang through my...
As much as I want to get Snow Dogs, I must stick to principle and hold off on this purchase. I'll also look for it on HBO.
Steven K, funny post. There was a thread a while back comparing MIB DTS with DD. Many thought the DD was just as good as DTS. I have the DD version and the sound is...
Michael Reuben,
Point well taken. My post was in jest; certainly not to be taken literally. I was taking a sarcastic jab at the issue through a satirical and circular pun. I am definitely grateful for the positions held by studio members alluded to in Ron's thread.
I was touched by the common...
todd s,
Just tell your daughter this - Idiots in charge at the studios are selling out to idiots in charge at Walmart who are misjudging idiots at home who pick the DVD without the bars even though they would have bought the DVD with the bars if both version were not thrust into their faces by...

Like one or more others here, I voted CD 2-channel and DTS Multi channel. I have not yet had the opportunity to listen to SACD or DVD-A. If/when I get a player and some software I may very well change my vote.
This is a very interesting and creative idea. Though I am wondering about the logistics. It seems timing is so important with MST3K humor. If there's a large turnout, how will people's responses get queued?
I did. I went into a Blockbuster just prior to the Episode I release date and told an employee that I wanted to purchase the Phantom Menace on DVD. Of course I didn't mention the release date thing as I was hoping to pull a fast one over the employee. Well, this teenager looked into the air and...
Outrageous! I have not yet purchased this DVD as I am waiting for the fixed version to hit the shelves. But I'm still outraged with this proposed solution. After all, it's our fellow forum members and Python aficionados who are getting the Double-CTHE shaft here. The studio is sweeping the...
I am disappointed the OAR version is on disc 2. Obviously it's better to have it in the set rather than not at all. But I fear this presentation gives more credence to the non-OAR mentality creeping into mainstream - one where OAR gets viewed as an add-on, bonus, or optional (special-edition)...
Luckily, I have not yet bought this DVD. I'll just sit back and wait for the fixed version before buying. I have been waiting for the SE release for quite some time. I guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer.
quote: Just a huge shame that Lucas felt he needed to get the force scientifically grounded and thus the midichlorians... I was very content accepting it as a mystical thing that the Jedi could do through intense training and innate ability. The midichlorians are just silly IMHO.
Agreed. I...
