Nothing will take advantage of 540p. It is really just a sales gimmick, IMO. 525p which you see in the specs on other new equipment is actually the standard resolution BUT only 485 lines are active (in the viewing area), hence 480p. The 1080i standard for HDTV actually produces around 1120...
