Paul, I feel your pain. I have had the same problems. But whenever I come across packaging like this I just use a nail file and file down the little plastic hubs. You only want to give each hub a little bit of a rub down or else it may get too loose. Hope this helps.

I may be wrong in assuming this, but your problem may be as simple as a power fluxuation. if you had turned your monitor OFF when you went out and the computer restarted itself, Microsoft can not detect a monitor type so it defaults to 800 x 600, which could account for the moving of the monitor...

Try hitting Blockbuster on monday or tuesday, alot of them just throw out the cases and if you ask nicely they will let you go through their garbage. Or hit Best Buy and get a few of those netflick boxes, they cost a cent or the Fox Demo Disc, a cent aswell. Hope this helps.

I had problems with this audio card too, trying to get it setup correctly, the best thing to do is to plug it all in nicely, and what u think is correct using the PDF above and then stick in a DVD with THX Optimode or Avia. And then go from there. I had to fix my brothers Audigy card this way...
