    For Sale - Rotel RSP-1066 - $300 Shipped

Thanks Gregg, This really is a fantastic piece of equipment and has served me very well. I hate to let this pre/pro go. Already sold the 1075 AMP separately. But they do not fit in my new setting. I went back to a Receiver and with my prospects of a dedicated theater a number of years...

    For Sale - Rotel RSP-1066 - $300 Shipped

I am selling my Rotel RSP-1066 due to theater downsizing. Looks/sounds great, will ship in original double boxes. This Receiver is approximately an 8 on the Audiogon scale. There is a spot on the back of the unit where I applied security dots known as data dots. So be it known that there is a...

Doctor Who on Sci-Fi - ongoing thread (merged)

Per Outpost Gallifrey, It was successful enough that the various BBC stations were actually fighting over who gets to air season 2 this year. BBC 2 got it.

Why I will buy another Saab

SAAB's are very, very safe cars. I had a friend of mine spin out on some ice on the freeway in his 1980's chevy police cruiser boat and a Saab hit him head on doing over 70 MPH. Both walked away from the wreck without so much as a scratch. The saab was crushed pretty much up to the windshield...

Installers are saying Pro-Logic II better than DD or DTS!

Wow, that's just base incompetence. I notice you are quite close to me. May I ask who the company was?

Inspection on a new condo, yes/no?

As one who is in a new condo that had quite a few headaches to get fixed that weren't done correctly, I would *definately* have a licensend, trained inspector give the place a good go over.

    Acidy Stomach??

mmmm, Upper Endoscopy. Thoes are just so much fun. You get knocked almost out and wake up with a sore throat for a few days. I had one done when I was diagnosed with my Hiatal Hernea. At least they didn't have an upper GI done, thoes aren't too fun. Big old Barium drink and a ton of x-rays...

Ah, the early days of the CD. Read this.

I remeber my first CD player. It's was a used Dual that used a cd well and you watched the CD spinning inside. It was built in 83, I got it in about 85. My uncle had given it to me and it broke on me (stopped tracking) in about 89. I gave it back to him and it's sitting in his attic. It's still...

    FS Denon 4802 Reciever

Since I have my new Rotel 1066/1075 combo, I have my 2 year old Denon 4802 (Not the 4802R) now up for sale. The unit is in perfect shape, sounds and works great. The body of the unit is pretty much flawless. The remote control has only been used once or twice to get the codes into my Proto...

    Acidy Stomach??

Chad, Go see a Dr ASAP. I was right about your age when I started getting heartburn at night, I'm 30 now. I dealt with it with Tums for about 5 years. Then I finally went to see a doctor. First had a Upper GI and they found some damage to the esophagus, but nothing definitive about a...

pet shop boys: pop art DVD video collection

I'll definatly be purchasing this one... PSB is definately still very active in the music world. They were just through here on tour a few months back on for thier last album. I've seen them three times now, and I *didn't* go to the last concert because I really don't like the last album...

Dance & Ambient music on SACD/DVDA?

That 24/7 is a Global Undergroun mix by Danny Howells (good album BTW). In fact they seem to be starting it as a new series since there is one with Lee Burridge at the helm coming out soon as well... BUT, if you look on the back, it is just a CD and not a DVD-A.

Bad to wait until fuel light come on before refueling?

The fuel guage in my 2003 Audi A4 3.0Q has proven to be very accurate (ditto with my 2002 A4 1.8TQ (totalled) and my old 2000 Jetta 1.8T (traded)). With all three cars the low fuel warning goes on @ 1/8th of a tank left. In the A4 thats right about 2.2Gal of gas left. That'll get me about 45...

    DOCTOR WHO - coming back!

I'm so geeked about DW coming back I don't know what to say. Stephen Fry was supposedly in the lead back when the Beeb was trying to get Doctor Who 2000 off the ground as a TV show back in 99. There's really been no mention about who will play the Dr yet from anywhere from the looks of it...

    Summer is over! Yay!

I love fall, it's my favorite season. The cool brisk smelling air, the colors, the crunch of leaves underfoot. Halloween, Thanksgiving, the start of the christmas season. It feels so relaxed and comfortable. I like cold, snowy, Michigan winters too. Love sitting in front of the fireplace with...

Thinking about buying a Parrot... advice?

My wife and I have had two parakeets for quite a long time who recently died within a few weeks of each other and we are now thinking about a Senegal Parrot. They are really cute, with sweet personalities, love to cuddle and best of all, they are very, very quiet. They don't squalk too often...

    Mold resistent paint?

Theres an additive that you can get at Home Depot and Lowes that keeps mold and mildew from growing on the paint. It's under a buck to treat a gallon of paint. We had bought the stuff when we just redid our bathroom and then I forgot to put it in the paint!

Unusual forces of nature at work against my car.

Phillip. Nice choice on a car. :-) I have a 2003 A4 3.0 Quattro myself. It's my second A4, the first was destroyed in a car accident. With the dings, repeat this mantra...'Dent Wizard is your friend, Dent Wizard is your friend...' Them, Dent Busters, Doctor Vinyl all have paintless dent...

    My cat is insane

I think personally that is has to do with their predatory instinct. I think they just occassionally like to just chase around the house. My cat does this too, she always has and after 12 years, still is.

Vertigo, how many of you have had it?

Yep, I've had it. It was really bad for about a week. I was off work for about a week and a half due to not being able to drive. My doctor thinks that it was a common inner ear virus that causes vertigo. I was on huge dramamine pills for a few weeks. I feel for you man, I hope it get's better...
